POWER ASSIST MAXI
FUSE/FUSE HOLDER
Installation Steps
1. Ensure Power Assist pump is turned “OFF”.
2. Ensure area is vented and free of any fumes.
3. Disconnect the Negative (–) connection from the battery.
WARNING
Failure to adhere to Steps 2 and 7
may result in an explosion and/or
fire resulting in property damage
or personal injury or death.
4. Disconnect the Positive (+) connection from the battery.
5. Using wire cutters, cut the existing fuse and fuse holder off
the Power Assist pump lead.
6. Using standard electrical connectors, connect the new fuse
harness (Figure A) to the Positive (+) connection lead from the
Power Assist pump. The fuse harness leads are 6 gauge wire.
7. Repeat Step 2 before performing Step 8.
8. Connect the negative (–) lead to the negative (–) terminal on
the battery.
9. Connect the Positive (+) lead to the positive (+) terminal on
the battery.
10. Turn the Power Assist “ON”.
11. Make several wheel turns from hard over to hard over to
confirm that the power assist is working.
NOTICE
After connection is made and prior to
connecting to the battery, SeaStar
Solutions recommends that the two
connection points are protected with
heat shrink.
