“Cambridge IGCSE provided me with the

next stage in my life.”
Bilal Ahmed Ansari, former Cambridge IGCSE student,
Al Ansar International School, Sharjah
The IGCSE program begins in Grade 9 and is completed
at the end of Grade 11. (3 years of IGCSE )
› This provides students with sufficient time to prepare for the
final IGCSE examinations at the end of Grade 11.
So why don’t we offer IGCSE in 2 years at Al Ansar
Intl’ School?
› Because International Standard of the Universities
demand 12 years of School Education for further
studies, so to meet that level we offer IGCSE in Grade11 and AS/A-Level in Grade-12.
CIE conducts IGCSE exams in 2 series per
academic year.
Series 1 – May/June.
Series 2 – Oct/Nov,
The students who want to appear for additional
subjects that are not being offered at the school
can write their exams in the Oct/Nov series.
Insha-Allah, the current Gr 11 students will sit for
the final IGCSE exams in the May/June, 2014
series.
All the students must appear in 6 IGCSE subjects
being offered at the school.
We STRONGLY discourage students who seek to
“drop” subjects.
