Anna University
National Cyber Defence Summit – 2016 is organized by the
National Cyber Safety and Security Standards in association with
Ministry of Defence, Government of India. The Summit focuses on
multiple issues linked with the current use of cyberspace by the
various stake holders and creating awareness of the responsibility
associated with the judicious use of this significant and powerful
tool, without endangering the fragile security and social framework.
The mission of the Summit is to establish a multi-stakeholder
consortium that brings together Industry, Government, and
Academic interests in an effort to improve the state of Cyber
Security on both a domestic and international level. Primarily, the
Summit focuses on multiple issues linked with the current use of
cyberspace by the various stake holders and creating awareness
of the responsibility associated with the judicious use of this
significant and powerful tool, without endangering the fragile
security and social framework.
National Cyber Safety and Security Standards has done an extensive
research in the cyber domain to understand the nature of cyber
threats and cyber crimes in this domain. National Cyber Safety
and Security Standards has understood that the multi – faceted
cyber technology cannot be handled by common standards and
security policies. The National Cyber Safety and Security Standards
has come know that, it needs different strategies for different
sectors of cyber domain. We are bound by duty and principle to
ensure that the advantages of cyberspace are utilized towards
constructive initiatives across all domains, thereby spreading
goodwill amongst one and all and the zest to contribute mightily
to the development of our country.

The reach and vulnerability of the cyber space has necessitated its
continuous appraisal in terms of security. The National Cyber Safety
