lands in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA), 1,330 hectares are still undeveloped.
 The Vaughan Enterprise Zone (VEZ), located in the western quadrant of the City,
bordering Brampton, Toronto and Caledon, encompasses an area more than
1,120 hectares (2,767 acres).
 Many of VEZ’s sites are large and contiguous parcels suitable for head offices,
national logistics and distribution centres, and manufacturing operations.
 CP Rail’s largest intermodal terminal on-site with handling capacity of more than
600,000 containers annually, offers direct non-stop connections to the Port of
Vancouver.
 Lester B. Pearson International Airport, Canada’s busiest passenger and cargo
airport, is located within 10 minutes of the VEZ.
 Direct highway connections to the Highway 401 trade corridors through Highways
407 and 427.
 Planned 6 km extension of Highway 427 - environmental assessment has received
provincial approvals.
 VEZ’s modern infrastructure is sized to meet future business demands: electrical
distribution systems, telecommunications, water, sewer and wastewater systems.
 Development opportunities for 48 million SF of industrial space.
 Employment potential: 46,000 jobs at full build-out.
