Chicago, June 2016 Arper at Neocon 2016 The pursuit of the essential is at the heart of the concept that Arper will be bringing to Neocon 2016, June 13-15. The company’s vision for work spaces, bringing the elements of balance, color, intuition, play and lightness to the office, will be presented at Arper’s permanent showroom on the 3rd floor of the Merchandise Mart. Five new collections and a range of product enhancements will be displayed. New products in 2016 In 2016 Arper presents the Catifa collection’s enduring potential. Originally designed in 2004 by Lievore Altherr Molina for the contract sector, Catifa 46 retains the same essential profile, but, new for 2016, will be available in an updated range of a soft yet complex palette: rosé, petrol, yellow, ivory, and smoke. Any combination of these refreshed colors can be paired or contrasted with customizable seat pad, or interpreted as a monochrome statement. The original series that started it all, Catifa 53, is reimagined for 2016 with a matte plastic or leather finish, lending sophistication and modern character to the quintessential form. Shade selections of white, ivory, gold, sand, caramel, café, anthracite or black lend unexpected elegance to matte plastic. Designed by the Lievore Altherr Molina studio, Meety is an adaptable and dynamic system of tables engineered to be optimally customizable and fit any context. The aluminum cast legs can be assembled to create the support base for an entire range of tabletop forms varying in shape, scale and material. Arper this year adds a new freestanding model to the Parentesit range. Designed by the Lievore Altherr Molina studio, this model will provide increased privacy and comfort. Architectural in scale and featuring a strong character, these modules carve out a threedimensional space for concentration or quiet conversation in shared workspaces or collaborative environments. Arper also introduces Parentesit wall panel with an integrated light and sound system fitted with speakers. This technological innovation combines industrial engineering with artisanal production, and an accompanying Parentesit App allows users to adjust light and sound with For information, interviews or further information on products: Arper Press Offices: Germany, Austria, Switzerland, the Netherlands: Italy: USA, Canada For all other countries: neumann Claudia Neumann & Anne Polch Eigelstein 103-113 50668 Köln Germany Umbrella comunicare design Evelina Bazzo & Camilla Tosi Viale Felissent 48 31100 Treviso Italia DADA Goldberg Arper SPA Defne Aydintasbas & Gina McNamee Chrystie Street 195, Suite 603F, New York, NY 10002 Stefania Zamuner Via Lombardia 16 31050 Monastier di Treviso (TV) Italia T+49 (0)221-91 39 49-0 F+49 (0)221-91 39 49-19 arper@neumann-communication.de T +39 0422 305442 F +39 0422 304853 arper@umbrella.it T: +1 212 673 3232 M: +1 917 379 3577 defne@dadagoldberg.com gina@dadagoldberg.com T +39 0422 791 847 F +39 0422 791800 press@arper.com their smartphones for enhanced environmental control. The Lievore Altherr Molina studio has also designed a new table collection combining elegant appearance and functionality. Created for both commercial and residential spaces that demand lightness and styled pragmatism, Yop is engineered to fold down for compact storage. Refined and substantial, Jean Marie Massaud-designed Steeve is now available with a new aluminum base in either black or white, elevating the architectural and volumetric form off the ground and reinforcing its minimal, modernist expression. Available in a bench, armchair and sofa. Arper’s popular Aava contract chair was updated with a wooden base available in two heights and in natural birch effect, natural oak color, natural walnut color and beech-wood. Aava can be further specified with polypropylene armrests, seat cushions or frontal upholstery for plastic shells and pads for easy stacking. Showroom design Designed by Arper’s creative directors at the Barcelona-based studio, Lievore Altherr Molina, the showroom will highlight the new products in the unique Arper way. Colors, a crucial element in Arper’s design, will take the lead in the installation: combined with different materials, they will be enhanced giving life to a skilful interplay of harmonious shades. The collections will be arranged along the booth perimeter and in the central area, and will guide visitors through settings designed to represent product versatility and flexibility.
