Slat Belt Mechanical Conveyor

SPECIFICATIONS:
BODY Top conveyor bed shall be constructed from 14 gauge, grade
18-8 stainless steel welded, ground and polished. Long sides to be
turned up to 3/4” at a 90 degree angle, over 1” at a 90 degree angle
and down 2” to form a square rim the full length of the conveyor.
The center of the bed shall be provided with an 8 1/2” wide by 1
1/2” deep trough to accommodate the conveyor belt tracking rails.
Tracking rails shall be formed from 1/2” square stainless steel tubing
supported by stainless steel brackets. Each rail is covered with an
“Ultrahigh Molecular Weight Polymer” material to reduce drag and
wear on slat chain. Support frame shall be stainless steel, welded,
ground and polished. Cross rails shall be 1 5/8” diameter stainless
steel tubing welded to 1 5/8” diameter tubular legs and secured to
the conveyor by stainless steel gussets.

OPTIONS:
RACEWAY Customer may select either “point of use” design or “circuit
panel” design.When optional raceway is installed, 1” square stainless
steel is welded to the crossrails for support.
(1) “Circuit Panel” design shall be constructed of 16 gauge grade 18-8
stainless steel sized and shaped as detailed on drawings. Specific electrical
outlet locations (120V and/or 208V) to be determined at time of
order. Raceway shall terminate at a load center housed in a stainless
steel, water resistant enclosure.With “circuit panel” design, there are
restrictions to load size and number of circuits due to physical size of
service panels.
(2) “Point of Use” design shall be constructed of 16 gauge grade 18-8
stainless steel sized and shaped as detailed on drawings. Electrical outlets
shall terminate with point of use circuit breaker panels. All internal
wiring shall terminate at power distribution blocks which allow for one
main power source to be provided. Each electrical receptacle shall be
mounted on a removable connection plate with a circuit breaker and
pilot light provided for each connection.With “point of use” design
there are no restrictions on load size or number of circuits.
CONVEYOR CHAIN RETURN RAIL shall be constructed of 1/2”
square stainless steel tubing with “Ultrahigh Molecular Weight
Polymer” material attached to reduce drag and wear on slat chain.
Rails to be supported at each leg by 1/2” stainless steel tubing welded
between each leg.
DRIVE HOUSING shall be constructed of 1 1/2” stainless steel angle
welded, ground and polished and shaped as detailed on drawings.The
motor and gear box assembly shall be mounted on a 12 gauge stainless steel plate with holes drilled to accommodate the gear box.
Framework shall be designed to permit accessibility from both sides
of the conveyor and allow easy removal of motor and gear box without removal of the conveyor chain.

MOTOR AND DRIVE ASSEMBLY shall include a 1/2 H.P. 90V D.C. motor
mounted to a 60-1 right angle gear box.The output shaft of the gear box
is fitted with a slip clutch and a #50 drive sprocket.The #50 drive
sprocket is connected to a 19 tooth #50 sprocket on the drive shaft for
the conveyor chain. Conveyor shall be provided with a tray activated
“limit” switch and on/off switch at checker position end as standard.
SLAT CONVEYOR MECHANISM
CONVEYOR CHAIN shall be Rexnord No. 821 or equal table top
chain 10” wide with removable stainless steel pins for easy belt maintenance.The conveyor chain shall be driven by a 1” bore
No. 821-25 tooth sprocket.The tail section will be an adjustable
No. 821-25 sprocket mounted to a 1” diameter stainless steel shaft.
Both drive shaft and tail section shaft shall be mounted in permanently lubricated bearings.
