The Vista Plus is a manual download logger with advanced specification and a local display to give multiple input compatibility and PDA and PC software compatibility. It also features a local display and can be programmed with conversion tables via Winfluid to show conversion data, for example from depth to flow. Advanced alarm features are available which, together with telemetry provide immediate exception warnings. HWM Octopus Data Logger with Multiple Telemetry Options Ultrasonic Level Monitoring Ultrasonic sensors (e.g. ‘SonicSens‘) are mounted above liquids and used for a range of purposes, including open channel, level and flow measurement, river, tank or reservoir level monitoring or sewer overflow reporting. The sensor is never in contact with the fluid, thereby minimising maintenance. Intrinsically safe versions are available. GSM Rain Gauge The event logging facility and advanced processing of Winfluid enables rain gauges to accurately report rainfall. This can be combined with other input data to measure the impact of rainfall on sewer or drainage levels. Samplers can also be driven by the logger to monitor quality parameter variation against precipitation. Landline/PSTN Winfluid is a powerful yet easily used software package for the full range of HWM sensors and applications. It is available for local PC and PDA download together with full telemetry programming, reporting and alarm options. Ease of use is maintained by the use of consistent programming screens no matter what the application. Level Monitoring, Pressure Transducer Accurate submerged sensors monitor levels by measuring the liquid pressure above for applications such as river level, borehole, reservoir or tank level monitoring. It can be used where limited overhead mounting prevents use of ultrasonic sensors. Winfluid allows easy calibration without the need for factory ‘pairing’ loggers and sensors. Open Channel Flow Monitoring PC Using accepted function sets programmed in Winfluid and civil constructions (flumes, weirs) level measurements from pressure or Ultrasonic sensors can be converted into accurate flow readings. This can be displayed on the logger or software, for local or telemetry monitoring. The true power of the software is seen in its ability to make conversions based on established function sets (Kindsvater Carter, Kindsvater Shen, Manning-Strickler), and in its ability to input specific tables and conversions. Overflow Monitoring Simple overflow measurement can be achieved with HWM overflow sensors and event logging. The overflow event shorts contacts in the sensor and the start duration and finish of the overflow is accurately recorded in Winfluid. This provides a highly cost effective solution for recording and alarming spill activity. Laptop Insertion Probe, Flow Measurement The HydrINS electromagnetic insertion probe provides highly accurate flow monitoring without the need to cut the pipe. Installation is done through a ‘hot tap’ and flow is not interrupted. It’s the ideal solution for network investigation and zoning and all programming and reporting is done through HWM loggers and Winfluid software. Pump Usage Pump activity can be monitored and reported using current clamps which detect when a pump is active. Pump run times can be recorded for diagnostic and flow approximation, allowing associated consumption, volume and potential network problems to be identified. Network Pressure Monitoring Loggers can use internal or external pressure sensors to accurately record network pressure through available connections such as consumer meters, hydrants and other ‘wet’ fittings. Typical applications are network diagnostics, network model verification, compliance (minimum pressure) monitoring and network optimisation. Multi-sensor compatibility Loggers are available with multiple (digital, 4-20ma, voltage, serial) input options to interface with third party sensors for additional applications such as water quality, PH, conductivity etc or new specific requirements where rugged remote logging with telemetry options would be of benefit (e.g. weather parameters) Sampler Octopus loggers have a switch output available to drive samplers triggered by other inputs such as flow or level. PDA The data base facility is flexible with numerous search, listing and sort options. Full graphical visualisations and reporting facilities are available, together with exporting in standard formats and specific interface to third party management software packages. Specific tools are available to treat and combine data. Examples include linear interpolation, height to velocity/flow and multiple pump usage analysis.
