DAIWA RETURNS POLICY
We appreciate your position as a retailer when confronted by the consumer therefore, a fair and implementable returns policy is
required for all to benefit. In an effort to improve our After Sales Service to you and your customer we ask you to adhere to the
following procedures.
REELS
If a reel is found to be faulty at the time of sale it may be replaced from your stock. If a reel is subsequently returned in a used condition it
should not be replaced. In this instance the reel should be returned to our service department for repair. Daiwa will either repair or
replace as necessary. Should you replace a used reel, you must be prepared to accept the repaired reel back into your own stock. Daiwa
will not accept used reels for credit.
RODS
Damaged rods are always a difficult problem to resolve. The definition between ‘fair wear and tear’ and ‘abuse’ is difficult to determine.
We as a manufacturer need your assistance in this area. In order to give the best possible back up service to you and your customer please
adhere to our warranty policy detailed on this page. Should you replace a section/complete rod and subsequently return this to us we will
replace/repair the relevant section only and return the rod to you. We will not accept used rods for credit.
IMPORTANT NOTICE
Consumer returns and complaints SHOULD NOT be given to our salesmen. This only causes undue delay and problems. Any such complaint
should be returned CARRIAGE PAID to our service department at the Wishaw address.
In accordance with the above policy, our Sales Representatives will NOT accept ANY USED MERCHANDISE FOR CREDIT. Only new and
unsold goods will be uplifted and receipts issued if said items were received damaged or faulty.

Orders over £200 go FREE. Orders of £200 and under will be charged £5.00
DAIWA SERVICE AND WARRANTY
ROD/REEL WARRANTY
Daiwa will repair or replace without charge any Daiwa rod or Daiwa reel which is defective in workmanship or materials within two years
from the date of purchase by the consumer. The warranty extends only to the original (consumer) owner. Production of a sales slip as
proof of purchase date in the event warranty work is necessary.
The following is not covered under reel warranty. Missing parts, malfunctions or damage due to abuse, misuse, or accident. Normal wear,
cleaning or relubrication required due to owner’s failure to provide reasonable and necessary maintenance. Malfunctions caused by
inadequate repair or alterations not performed by Daiwa.
The following is not covered under rod warranty Missing parts, malfunctions caused by inadequate repair or alterations not performed by
Daiwa. Normal wear, malfunctions or damage due to abuse, misuse, or accident.
WARRANTY REPAIR PROCEDURES
Emphasise to customers that they should return their rods or reels to Daiwa. Rods and reels requiring warranty work should be sent
postage prepaid to Daiwa’s factory service department.
Please follow these instructions when returning rods or reels for warranty repair.
››Do not remove parts. Enclose proof of purchase and a statement of warranty claim with nature of the problem. Also, please list the
model name and number of reel/ rod, and your return address.
››To protect against loss or damage in transit, your reel/rod should be carefully packaged and adequately insured. Please retain all
shipping receipts.
LIFETIME WARRANTY ON GAME RODS AND FLY REELS
In addition to the standard 24 month warranty all Daiwa game rods and fly reels carry an original user lifetime warranty against any defect
in workmanship or materials.
Should there be any defect, Daiwa will, at its discretion, repair or replace the item. This warranty does not cover damage caused by
misuse, lack of maintainance, negligence or normal wear and tear. This warranty is limited to repair or replacement and does not cover
consequential or incidental damage or loss.
Warranty claims, complete with the proof of original purchase and payment of an Administration Fee (for current fee contact Daiwa
Customer Services) should be sent to: Customer Services Dept., Daiwa Sports Limited, Netherton Industrial Estate, Wishaw, North
Lanarkshire, ML2 0EY.
NON-WARRANTY REPAIR PROCEDURES
Reel repairs not covered by warranty are available for a reasonable charge from Daiwa’s service department.Please follow the preceding
instructions regarding packaging, shipping, and insurance. With the reel, include an explanation of the problem, reel model number and
name, and your return address. On receipt of the returned reel you will be sent an acknowledgment advising you of our estimated
completion time. Replacement rod sections are also available from Daiwa’s factory service department for a reasonable charge.
When ordering replacement sections, always state the rod model number and section desired (the tip section is considered the first
section), and be certain to include your complete return address.
