He was formerly Senior Vice President at Oracle Corporation responsible for Oracle's application and SaaS products including CRM, ERP, and Supply Chain products. Prior to joining Oracle in 2006, he was Senior Vice President of Technology and Chief Technology Officer for Siebel Systems. Mr. Abbo earned an M.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a B.S. degree in Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering from Princeton University. Claude Baudoin: Owner and Principal, cébé IT & Knowledge Management LLC Claude Baudoin has been a leader in IT and knowledge management in industries such as semiconductors, IT services, and Oil & Gas. He spent 35 years in multinational companies, including 26 years in IT and software management at Schlumberger, where he was Advisor to multiple CIOs, until he left in 2009 and created his own boutique consultancy. He now advises clients in multiple sectors on strategic IT challenges such as enterprise architecture, cloud computing adoption, knowledge management programs, the use of social media in business, and more. Claude is a consultant to the Industrial Internet Consortium and a representative on their Energy Task Group. Claude is affiliated with the Cutter Consortium, is a member of the Steering Committee of the Cloud Standards Customer Council, and he co-chairs the Object Management Group’s task force on Business Modeling and Integration. Claude holds an engineering degree from Ecole Polytechnique in Paris, an MS in Computer Science from Stanford University, and is the author of two books on software development and two IT-related patents. Dr. Tom Bradicich - Vice President, Server Engineering - Hewlett Packard Dr. Tom Bradicich is a Vice President of Server Engineering, At Hewlett-Packard, responsible for global R&D and delivery of HP's dense scalable and workload optimized converged system product line, receiving an InfoWorld Technology of the Year Award, the ARM TechCon Best of Show, and contributing to HP being the furthest in Vision and Execution on the Gartner Magic Quadrant. Tom and his staff direct worldwide engineering teams, the three global HP Discovery Labs, and pioneered the first Intel XeonT server with integrated on-chip GPUs and first 64 bit enterprise ARM server. Tom is also leading cross company teams to establish HP's Industrial Internet strategy. Prior to HP, Tom was an R&D Fellow at National Instruments (NI) where he led teams to established NI's reliability/availability strategy, and big data strategy - Big Analog Data(tm) solutions. Tom began his career at IBM, served as an IBM Fellow, R&D VP, Distinguished Engineering, and CTO for IBM's x86 server business, and received the IBM Chairman's Award. He and his team pioneered enterprise blade servers, Linux on x86, open source virtualization, VDI, and cloud computing. Tom co-founded seven open industry standards, holds several server and PC patents, a member of the adjunct faculty at NC State University and the Dean's Advisory Board at the University of Florida. Brett Burger - Principal Product Marketing Manager, Smart Grid Applications - National Instruments Brett joined National Instruments in 2003 after graduating with a degree in Aerospace Engineering from Texas A&M University. He started his career as an applications engineer in the Engineering Leadership Program where he supported LabVIEW customers in the platinum support queue and eventually became a team lead for new support engineers. In 2005 Brett transitioned to a role in product marketing where he helped with the global launch, and product management of NI CompactDAQ. Since then, Brett has presented at numerous NI technical events, customer locations and on the main keynote stage at NI Week 2010. Today, as a Principal Product Manager at National Instruments, Brett works on the strategy of NI technology helping engineers measure and control the smart grid. This global role involves constant contact with customers, the field sales team, and R&D to ensure future products continue to help scientists and engineers discover and innovate. John Burke - CEO - OspreyData John is a proven operator and technology executive with almost 20 years experience in fast growth environments ranging from start-ups to public technology companies. He has served in the COO, CFO and senior financial roles at DYE Precision, St. Bernard Software, Global Domains, Visual Sciences and WebSideStory. John was part of the management team at WebSideStory that pioneered SaaS based web analytics. He was instrumental in raising over $44 million in private equity and $50 million in the Company's IPO. John oversaw financial operations during the Company's growth from $9 million to $100 million in annual revenues. The Company sold in late 2007 for over $400 million. John started his career at PricewaterhouseCoopers where he served in both business assurance and financial advisory services. John specialized in mergers and acquisitions, business valuation and forensic accounting and received his CPA during his time at PwC. John was honored as 2009 Public Company CFO of the Year by the San Diego Business Journal for his transformational role at St. Bernard Software. John received his BS in Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting from San Diego State University. John was President of the Student Accounting Society and was honored as the College of Business Graduation Speaker for his graduating class. Laurent Clerc - Vice President Information Technology - CGG Laurent leads IT activities world-wide for CGG’s Processing, Imaging and Reservoir Division. He has extensive international experience in the field of High Performance Computing applied to Geophysics and a proven track record in all aspects of IT, from the definition of long term strategies to the operational management of large processing centers, global network teams, complex software and hardware projects, and sourcing and supply chain organizations. Laurent leads large globally distributed & multicultural organizations, with numerous postings in foreign countries. He holds an Engineering degree from Ecole Centrale de Paris. Roger Hill - CTO - Veracity Security Intelligence Roger is the CTO for Veracity Security Intelligence and brings 20+ years of experience industrial control systems in many different industrial segments. Before joining Veracity, Roger worked for Siemens as the head of technology management in their plant security services business. In this role, his department was responsible for the development of key strategic technologies as part of a comprehensive security program for industrial customers. His team focused on the validation of security controls and penetration testing of controls within the SCADA security test bed as well as the development of models to employ within security programs for ICS. In Roger’s tenure in ICS he worked with every aspect from PLC, PAC, Drives, Motion Control, HMI, SCADA and DCS. Brian Hollingshaus - Senior Manager - Duke Energy Brian is a Project Manager in the Maintenance & Diagnostics department of Duke Energy’s Fossil Hydro Operations business unit. He joined Duke Energy in March 2015 after over 10 years working for the Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI). While at EPRI he worked closely with Duke Energy and other electric power utilities to develop strategies and technologies for monitoring, assessing, and maintaining equipment at coal, natural gas, oil, and hydro powered bulk electric power generating stations. His responsibilities at Duke Energy include helping to develop and execute similar monitoring, assessment, and maintenance strategies for the Duke fleet of stations. Amir Husain - CEO - SparkCognition Amir is a serial entrepreneur with a strong track record of innovation in the fields of distributed computing, virtualization and artificial intelligence. While a graduate student at UT Austin (CS), Amir developed the technology that led to his first venture-funded startup, Kurion (acquired by iSyndicate). Later, Amir started a systems management company that merged with PC Blade manufacturer, ClearCube Technology. In 2009, Amir took over as CEO of VDIworks, a Cloud Computing and Virtualization software spin-off from ClearCube. Amir’s patented inventions in the area of VDI (Virtual Desktop Infrastructure) and Cloud computing have been acquired by companies such as Google and Citrix. Steve Jennis - Senior Vice President - PrismTech Steve was recently identified in Forbes Magazine (by Appinions) as one of the 'Top 10 Most Influential Execs in IoT today'. He identified the potential of the IoT (particularly the Industrial Internet segment) back in early 2012 and has been active ever since in ensuring PrismTech's strategy, product vision, business development and marketing activities are fully-aligned with the emerging IIoT opportunity. Steve has been involved in enabling technologies for real-time, distributed systems for over a decade and has logged over 25 years in the IT industry overall, starting his career with Texas Instruments and progressing to Division Manager there before helping establish PrismTech. He is an investor, board member, and a SVP at PrismTech Group and their most senior executive in the USA. PrismTech is one of the foremost suppliers of standardsbased (DDS) real-time middleware, with its OpenSplice and Vortex products together having hundreds of contract customers and over 50,000 downloads of the opensource implementation. Sumant Kawale - Senior Director of Business Development - SparkCognition Sumant's responsibilities include Channel Development and Key Account Management. He was a Project Leader at the Boston Consulting Group prior to joining SparkCognition. Jay Labhart - Senior member of the GE Oil & Gas Product Security Leadership team Mr. Labhart is a senior member of the GE Oil & Gas Product Security Leadership team responsible for addressing security across products and services, including the industrial internet. In this role Mr. Labhart leads the business’ programs to address the people, process and technology components of securing a sustainable and more interconnected industrial world. In his previous role at GE Intelligent Platforms Mr. Labhart led the Secure Computing Initiative addressing security in the areas of network centric architectures, antitamper and information assurance. From this initiative, Mr. Labhart led design efforts for incorporating secure sensors into single board computers, trusted booting of processors, security monitoring of devices and designing the architecture for Battlefield Network Routers & Gateway products. Mr. Labhart also participated in several government and industry groups defining security architectures and guidelines for next generation military systems. Chris LeBlanc - Vice President Sales and Marketing - Lime Instruments Chris LeBlanc has 21 years experience in the instrumentation and automation industry. In 2013, LeBlanc took over as Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Lime Instruments, a Houston based Oil and Gas automation company that focuses on well services and drilling systems. Lime Instruments was recognized by the Houston Business Journal’s 2012 Fast 100 list of fastest-growing private companies. Shimon Modi - Security Lead for IIoT - Accenture Technology Labs Shimon Modi is a Manager in the cyber-security R&D group in Accenture Technology Labs. Dr. Modi is currently the security lead for Industrial Internet initiative at Accenture. His team is developing thought leadership and security solutions to address challenges brought on by increased digitization of the industrial infrastructure. Since joining Accenture he has lead the development of technology solutions and business enablers for cyber threat intelligence and security analytics. His areas of focus span security architectures, biometrics, applied statistics and technology transfer. Prior to joining Accenture, he managed the research program at biometrics lab at Purdue University and also has consulted on large scale identity management projects for clients in the commercial and government sector. Dr. Modi holds a B.S. in Computer Science, M.S. with Specialization in Information Security and Ph.D. in Technology from Purdue University. Brett Murphy - Director of Business Development, Industrial Internet of Things - Real-Time Innovation Brett Murphy is Director of Business Development, Industrial Internet of Things with RTI. Early on, Brett worked on controls analysis, hardware-in-the-loop test systems, robotics, real-time software development, and systems engineering in the aerospace and embedded software industries. More recently he has worked on product definition, market strategy and business development for embedded software tools, network middleware and scientific computing software. Ed Wagner - Vice President - Sentient Science Edward Wagner is the Vice President of Customers and Solutions at Sentient Science, responsible for the commercialization of Sentient's technology investments, development, and product management functions. His expertise includes building start-up companies with an emphasis on advanced manufacturing and design, achieving rapid sales growth, and executing IPO, mergers, and acquisitions. After one year, Edward's team is now monitoring 6,054 wind turbines with Sentient's prognostics technology, DigitalClone.
