Compact, concealed, aesthetically pleasing and vandal-resistant,
SYLVANIA emergency lighting equipment provides bright illumination
during any power failure situation. Upon activation, the internal
rechargeable battery automatically deploys the durable lamp
housing from behind the wall or ceiling and the dual xenon lamps
brightly illuminate a path to safety. These fixtures are virtually
invisible until activated and meet most interior emergency lighting
code requirements. Quick and easy to install in the wall or ceiling,
these reliable emergency lighting fixtures are perfect for retrofit and
new construction applications and have been listed by UL and CSA.

Application Notes
1. Servicing of parts should be performed by qualified service personnel. For replacement lamps or
batteries see fixture labels.
2. Emergency units can be painted or wallpapered.
3. To test existing unit when fully installed in wall or ceiling, depress and hold LED/AC test switch
located on: front cover panel (green LED light on the SC11 and SC36 models) and on the central
battery unit (RM36 model). Lamp housing will automatically extend outward and lamps will
illuminate. After test, release the LED/AC test switch to return housing to original position.
4. The emergency light is furnished with a sophisticated low voltage battery dropout circuit to
protect the battery from over discharge after the useful output has been reached. Allow 24 hour
