Confined Space
Combining the risks.
Many jobs require workers to enter tanks, boilers, large
pipes, and other confined spaces. These hazardous work
environments often come with one or more additional
hazards, including workers performing hot work and other
hazardous tasks. By offering a complete head-to-toe
safety solution, Honeywell Safety Products can address the
combined risks associated with each specific space and
ensure the worker is protected. Global Certifications ensure
compliance at all your job sites worldwide.

Tank Entry
Maintenance operations
Above ground petroleum storage tanks
require entry during assembly, cleaning,
maintenance, and inspection. In addition
to being classified as Confined Spaces,
these tanks pose hazards such as: internal
floating roofs than can move and trap
workers; falling hazard from top entry; and
the flammability and toxicity of the products
stored in the tanks.
Service Highlight:

confined spaces. The course provides
a detailed look at confined space
regulations, the typical hazards involved,
and a variety of control measures.
The session also includes a number
of hands-on exercises focusing
on rescue, equipment application,
maintenance and inspection, as well
as instrument calibration.
Safety at Height
Worker comfort and trust.
Honeywell is committed to providing addedvalue fall protection equipment and service

(2005) Standards.
Welding Safety
Keep your cool when doing hot work.
Welding and cutting operations are common in the
industry and often occur in areas where flammable
gases may be present. Fibre-Metal is the acknowledged
quality leader of the industry we created in 1905 with
our invention of the welding helmet. Free consultation,
hazard analysis, compliance reviews and wearer training
assistance help you receive the maximium return on your
welding safety investment.
ADC Technology
Angular Dependency Compensation technology
allows the welder to work in various positions with
no shade variation in the viewing area, decreasing
eye fatigue.

Particulates
Arc-Rated Products
Miller Revolution arc-rated
products are designed to
protect workers from falls
caused by arc-flash and
arc-blast exposure.
Relief from nuisance levels.
North pancake low-profile filters are
specially designed to fit under welding
helmets. They provide relief from nuisance
levels of particulates and odors present
when welding.
Chemical Hazards
Protect against contact.
Contact with chemicals is a natural part of the job for
many workers in the oil, gas and petrochemical industries.
Whether working with hazardous chemicals in drilling muds
and hydraulic fracturing fluids, or manufacturing chemicals,
chemists, technicians and operating crew members must be
protected against contact with these substances.
Hazard Highlight:
H2S Release
Chem-Resistant Footwear
Honeywell offers one of the
broadest lines of rubber, neoprene,
PVC, and TPU chemical-resistant
footwear in the world.
Protective Clothing
Proactive safety.
Adequate engineering controls and safe
working practices such as proper ventilation
and use of fixed and portable gas detectors
can mitigate some exposure to gas, but it is
still necessary to protect workers with suitable
personal protective equipment.
Honeywell’s offering of protective
outerwear is designed to protect
workers against the wide range
of chemicals with which they
may come into contact, either
through normal handling, or
accidental splash.
Uncontrolled Release
of Energy
Protect against contact.
Most industrial accidents are caused by the unexpected
energization or start-up of machines or equipment, or by the
uncontrolled release of energy. Many of these accidents can
be prevented by proper LOCKOUT / TAGOUT procedures.
Lockout
Devices placed over energy-isolating
mechanisms hold them in the safe
position, keeping them from being set
in motion and endangering workers.
Hazard Highlight:
Arc flash
Electrical Safety
For workers working on or around high-voltage equipment, Fibre-Metal® offers
arc-rated faceshields as well as Class G and Class E hard hats.
Revolution™ Arc-Rated Harnesses
Protect workers from falls caused by electric

energized electrical sources.
Environmental Hazards
Hearing Protection
Workers need protection against damage
to their hearing, and in high-noise
environments, noise-induced hearing
loss can be a real problem. Protection is
not enough. Workers also need to hear
in these environments, remain aware
of their surroundings, and be able to
communicate clearly.

Heated Eyewash
Inclement Weather
Workers are exposed to outdoor conditions all
day, every day, no matter the season. They must
remain productive and safe in extreme heat and
cold, in inclement weather, and even on a perfect
day, insects, allergens, dust, and other natural
elements can impede a worker’s ability to
perform his or her job safely and effectively.
The perfect temperature.

low-visibility locations.
Respiratory Protection
Respiratory hazards are present during a variety
of activities: excavating and trenching prior to
rigging up or while constructing a pipeline, when
preparing the drilling mud, during drilling and
well services activities, or in various locations
throughout a refinery or chemical plant. Ensure
all workers undertand the dangers and that they
are informed of and trained in appropriate
procedures, including the use of
breathing apparatuses.
First Aid Kits and Stations
Available in a variety of hard, soft, waterproof, or wallmounted cases, first aid kits are stocked with the type and
quantity of products needed to address the hazards and
number of employees at your location.
Emergency Response
When every second counts.
Despite the work and planning to engineer
out – and protect against – every potential
hazard, accidents still happen due to job-related
and environmental conditions. Ensuring you
can provide remedial care for employees,
whether in the office or in the field, can make
a big difference in that employee’s recovery.
For minor cuts, scrapes, sunburns, and other
maladies, basic first aid and medicinals can
treat an employee and keep them productive.
Burn Care
From dressings and gauze to gel-soaked fire blankets, burn care kits
can help treat minor burns, welding burns, and major burn injuries until
emergency medical personnel can treat the burn victim.
Hazard Highlight:
IDLH Environments
Escape in an emergency.
Emergency Escape Breathing Apparatus
