Radio Law Certifications of Major Markets
In order to export wireless devices, the requirements of destination market's Radio Law have to be met. Not only do the regulations and
standards required by each country's certification system differ, they are frequently subject to revision. Almost all the countries have
mandatory certification systems in relation to Radio Law. In Japan, the devices classified as extremely low power radio station are not
required to acquire certification. However, these devices are required to acquire certification in many other countries. In this situation, We
have provided regulatory information and certifications of approximately 200 countries/regions, leveraging cooperative relationship we
have built with global regulatory organizations. From checking the latest information on global Radio Laws and gaining knowledge on
marking requirements for labels and manuals to obtaining certifications from multiple countries, we have a system in place to accurately
and quickly respond to your needs.
UL Japan is an accredited testing organization recognized by JAB (Japan Accreditation Board for Conformity Assessment), NVLAP (America's
National Voluntary Laboratory Accreditation Programme) and A2LA (American Association for Laboratory Accreditation). Our test data are
accepted in many markets including North America and Europe.
We also provide below services to meet your specific certification needs.
NVLAP 認定範囲は
Certification under Japanese Radio Law
参照
UL Japan is recognized as a “Registered Certification Body” under the Radio Law by the Minister of Internal Affairs and Communications.
As such, we are able to provide one-stop service from testing to certification, covering Technical Regulations Conformity Certification and
Attestation of the Construction Design to specified wireless equipment of unlicensed, blanket licensed and other facilities.
Certification under Japanese Telecommunications Business Act
UL Japan is recognized as a “Registered Approval Body” under the Telecommunications Business Act by the Minister of Internal Affairs
and Communications. We provide a complete service from testing to certification, covering Technical Standards Conformity Approval
and Certification of Type in accordance with the Article 4 Item 1 (Terminal equipment for communications) and Item 2 (Other terminal
equipment) of the Rules for Technical Standards Conformity Approval for terminal equipment.
Conformity Assessment/Certification for R&TTE Directive
As we are registered as a Notified Body under the R&TTE Directive, the testing data we produce under the Directive are accepted by the EU
member countries and we can issue a CAB Statement of Opinion. Thus we can help your product enter Europe through our comprehensive
services including testing, TCF creation and notification to global radio regulatory agencies.
North America TCB Services
UL Verification Services and UL Japan are recognized as Telecommunication Certification Body (TCB) to issue approval to telecommunication
device on behalf of the U.S. Federal Communications Commission (FCC). We enable you to obtain the FCC and Industry Canada(IC)
certifications in a shorter period of time.
Seminars on Global Wireless Regulations
In response to our clients' requests, we conduct individual seminars relating to regulations and application procedures that differ from
country to country (e.g. USA/Europe) as well as specific testing requirements. We also cover topics and important points from country
specific type approval applications, based on our extended experience in the business.
