The lodge is the latest addition to the Tower Estate which includes two restaurants and the Tower Winery monitored by the watchful eye of Australia’s pre-eminent ambassador of wine, and Tower Chairman, Len Evans AO OBE. The property is an amazing venue for a select few. Passageways bordering a cloistered courtyard lead to 12 air-conditioned guest rooms, ‘all a flight of fancy, each tableau a witty salad of styles’. This is Australia at its best for food, wine and accommodation, the Tower is something very special. Accommodation 12 suites, Check in - 2 PM, Check out - 11 AM The large, individually designed suites frame a Roman-style colonnaded courtyard. Among the many features are stained glass windows, furniture from a French château and Chinese dynasty tapestries. Some have a huge fireplace, others an outdoor plunge pool or balcony, but all have a sitting area, crisp linen sheets and all modern facilities. Two rooms are accessible for wheelchairs. The Oriental Room and Chairman's Suite are a 6 star standard. The Chairman's Suite is a separate building with it's own tower, a roof top viewing deck. The suite features its own chambers with fireplace and the bedroom boasts a 300 years old hand-carved Indian four-poster bed. The bathroom is marble with an elevated spa bath and separate shower. The Oriental Room features polished jarrah floors and a plunge tub on the balcony. The decor while oriental in flavour is a little wild and eccentric with an enormous Picasso print above the lounge. Dining The tariff includes breakfast, afternoon tea and pre-dinner drinks in the lounge each evening. The wining and dining opportunities are exceptional. The Lodge Dining Room is open for breakfast and pre-arranged functions/dinners. Housed within the main building, the Lodge lounge/bar, dining room and library are in keeping with the 'excessive opulence' maintained throughout the Lodge. Robert's at Tower Estate is an ivy covered 1876 building, a high beamed, light filled restaurant with private dining rooms and a wedding chapel. A dining experience which is lovingly cooked, simply presented, professionally served. Blaxlands Restaurant provides all day dining, lunch and dinner - brasserie/restaurant. Modern, clean, minimal decor within a convict stone heritage building with a wood burning fireplace in winter and a courtyard with views to the vineyards in summer. Food is bistro style, fresh and modern while reflecting Australian produce and a penchant for hearty dishes. Needless to say the selection of wines is superlative!
