Resource List
The websites in the following list have been found to be useful by other
Environmental Studies teachers. Some are suitable for student use while others are
best used by teachers for planning and selection of examples for teaching. Some are at
a level that is suitable for AS or A level use, while others are at an introductory level
or are suitable for extension work. The Environmental Studies Specification should be
used as the definitive guide to suitable content and level. They have all been checked
as being current (May 2008) and no unsuitable content has been found. Some
websites present a particular view of environmental issues which may be valid but not
balanced with alternative views.
It is recommended that teachers check websites before using them with students.
The list has been arranged in order of Specification units and topics, but many
websites cover a range of topics or have links to other sites.
