S.R. Revision Committee and as per the approval of Central Purchase
Committee - reg.
Ref:- 1. KPTCL Order of even No. Dt. 18.02.2012- Constitution of Committee
for revision of Major Works Schedule of Rates.
2. Discussions held on 21 &22.03.2013 in the 131 st T&P Central Purchase
Committee meeting.
The Major Works Schedule of Rates has been revised with effect from 01.04.2013. As
such, the revised S.R will be in force from 01.04.2013 till further orders. The copy of the
revised SR is notified in the KPTCL website for information and use of all the officers of
KPTCL for its effective implementation with immediate effect. The estimates I DPRs
prepared from 01.04.2013 shall be based on the revised S.R without fail. You are hereby
directed to instruct all your sub-ordinate offices I officials in the matter. The booklets of
the Major Works S.R shall be made avail�ble to all offices in due course.

Cleaning, Repairing and painting inside the Transformer
Tank with hot oil bath and acid proof epoxy paint and
painting outside the tank with enamel paint after
thorough cleaning including the cost of materials
including the painting of radiators at site/Firm.

Re-assembly of Core and winding
Drying out the assembly of core and winding in oven/
vacuum chamber, till the specified insulation resistance

values are obtained (including cost o f materials and
labour)
Tanking the assembly, giving connection, providing new
gaskets and insulating materials conforming to relevant
ISS, putting back the cover, tightening the fixtures,
1 1 fixing the bushing etc., including the cost of all
materials like Gasket, insulating materials, Bolts and
Nuts etc., and labour. Other accessories at repairers
work to facilitate the testing.
Filling of oil to the main tank and OLTC tank, filtering
the oil including filtering till attainment of prescribed
BDV valves including labour, filtering equipment along

with accessories. The minimum BDA value shall be
50KV. Note: The Transformer oil will be supplied by
KPTCL.
Spares for Transformer such as Bushing, Oil gauge,
13 valves etc., which shall be procured from the orginal
manufacturers.
14 Other snares
a) Testing the transformer for routine tests as per IS
2026-1983 if repairs are carried out at Repairer's work.
b) Testing the transformer for IR values, Voltage ratio at
1 5 all Taps, Short circuit test, Magnetic balance,
Magnetising current measurement at low voltage from
HV & LV. Magnetising current measurement at rated
voltage from LV side.
