Harrison Picture Day is this Friday, Oct. 3rd. Your child should have brought home an order form, but it is also
available at www.bephoto.com. Just click on the ‘Pricing’ tab and look for School Pictures. Order forms with payment
must be returned to the school on Picture Day. Students may wear elementary dress code on Friday. This alternative
dress code may be found on the district website (www.wylieisd.net) under Parents & Students, Student Dress Code, K-4
Dress Code. Please remember that this picture will be in the yearbook.
Monday, Oct. 6 is a school holiday/Fair Day. Students will bring their fair tickets home on Thursday; tickets are
good Monday-Friday, Oct. 6-19.
The Harrison PTA needs your support. Please consider joining the PTA and/or volunteering with this wonderful
organization. Membership dues are $7.50.
News from the Harrison PTA:
If you ordered PTA spirit wear for your child, the delivery has been delayed at the design company. The PTA apologizes
for this inconvenience to your child and wants you to know they will get their spirit wear as soon as possible.
Once again this year, you can help the PTA make a dime without spending a dime. Just cut the box tops from
participating General Mills products and send them to school with your child. We have started our first contest of the
year – Boys vs Girls – and the winning gender gets a Jeans Day! Students should write their gender on the bag of box
tops and drop the bag in the collection bin in the front hallway. This contest runs until Oct. 5th.
There are Spirit Nights planned for Chick fil-A, Orange Leaf, and Five Below. On these days just let the cashier know you
are supporting Harrison Intermediate. The dates are:
Chick fil-A (from 5-8pm): Oct. 27, Dec. 17, Jan. 29, Feb. 24, Mar. 23, Apr. 30, and May 20
Orange Leaf (from 11am-10pm): Oct. 9, Nov. 13, Dec. 11

College Thursdays – Thursdays are College Day in Wylie and students and staff are encouraged to wear a college
shirt and jeans. Jeans and shirts must be school appropriate and a belt must still be worn. Students may only wear

Wylie Way, and then on Tell Us About the Wylie Way in Action.
If your child is absent please send a note to the office within three days of his/her return to school. We cannot
accept a phone call as an excused absence. You may also use the Absence Notification tab in Family Access.

Dress Code: Students may wear spirit shirts any day of the week. These include Harrison, Burnett, or Wylie East

in Wylie so students are encouraged to wear their favorite college shirt with jeans. College and military sweatshirts and
hoodies may be worn over dress code shirts any day.
Please make sure your child has lunch money in his/her account. Students without money will receive a
sandwich instead of a plate lunch.
