The suppressor is encapsulated in a weather resistant enclosure that can be installed inside the pole. The SHA Series is available in 120V, 240V, 277V and 480V Single Phase models. In addition, optional Low Capacitance (LC) and Both Black leads (BB) models are offered. Check voltage source to verify that the correct model Edco SHA Series is being installed. Disconnect power to light pole before beginning installation of surge protector. Remove hand hole panel on pole to gain access to the light wiring. Disconnect wire nuts connecting wire from electrical service to light. Check to ensure no voltage is present. Connect line side of Edco SHA Series to wire coming from service panel. L1 wire is connected to Line 1 (hot), L2 is connected to Line 2 or Neutral depending on the voltage. Connect the load side of the Edco SHA Series to wires going up to the light. L1 is connected to Line 1 (hot), L2 is connected to Line 2 or neutral depending on the voltage. Connect the Ground wire on the Edco SHA Series to the ground lug or screw inside the light pole. Carefully push the surge protector and wiring back inside the WH light pole and attach the hand hole panel on pole.
