Programmed Start Ballasts
g
imagination at work
UltraStart® T8 Bi-Level Dimming Ballast
GE UltraStart®T8 Bi-level
dimming Ballasts are the
newest addition to GE’s
comprehensive family of
controllable Lighting Ballast.
The new category includes
2 lamp high efficiency normal
and low ballast factor as well
as a 1 lamp normal ballast
factor. The ballast will reduce
power by over 50% and easily
switches from 100% to 30%
light with 2 standard switches
or a line voltage occupancy
sensor like the GE Aware HB12 series.
The GE UltraStart®T8 Bi-level
dimming Ballasts are easily
wired for control. Connect
either black lead to phase for
30% level and connect both
black leads to phase for 100%
level when using switches. If
using GE Aware™ HB 12 series
line voltage occupancy
sensors, connect either black
lead to red load on the sensor.
GE UltraStart®T8 Bi-level
dimming Ballasts meet 2010
ASRAE/IES 90.1
requirement for
light reduction
White(Neutral)
controls that should
Black (Hot)
be adopted by the
United States
November 2013.
They also meet
California Energy
Efficiency Standards
(Title 24).
Great application for GE 1 lamp (GE132MVPS-N-S30)
- Stairwells where light levels can be reduced when not needed
GE UltraStart®
T8 Bi-Level
Dimming Ballasts
GE UltraStart®T8 Bi-level dimming Ballasts
are an effective energy management solution
when you have the flexibility to reduce light
levels in unoccupied spaces or can reduce light
energy demand by over 50% at critical times
throughout the day.
Application Illustration only, subject lamps not used in photo.
GE UltraStart Bi-level dimming ballast
- Used in Hospital Patient rooms for aesthetic dimming
as well as power reduction
Perfect for Bi-Level Switching
• 100% to 30% Bi-Level dimming
• Use with line voltage occupancy
sensors, lighting panel relays or two standard
switches.
