This system permits working of voice communication and signaling through an Optical Fibre Communication System and also works through RE cable with some changes of input and output impedances. The system is designed to work on 4 wire VF Channel having characteristic impedance of 600 ohms. The CCEO system (CRE/TRE/MTWE etc) works on 48V DC Power supply. Normally same 48V PSU and Battery bank which is used for other OFC equipments are used for CCEO equipments. Power consumption is very less. (Typically 12 watt for one way station equipment). CCEO System conforms to RDSO specification No. RDSO/SPN/TC/ 66/2007 SYSTEM SEGMENTS: CONTROL ROOM EQUIPMENT (CRE) : This equipment is located on Controller’s desk. It is equipped with desk top microphone and loudspeaker. Selective call, Group call and General call to the way station control telephones can be initiated from CRE. It has many added features over the old control room equipments like key programming, key code uploading and downloading facility etc. It is also possible to initiate a call to a Way Station Equipment using old TC-60 code structure (DTMF way station equipments). It is also possible to call 20 number Local Telephones installed in or around Headquarter Control room. WAY STATION EQUIPMENT (MTWE): The Multi-Telephone Way Station Equipments (MTWE) are located at different way stations and installed in OFC huts. 4 telephones (commonly available EPBT as per TEC spec with impulse dialing facility) can be connected to it which are used as Control Telephones. All the telephones have separate call numbers and can be easily programmed by the user. Ringing pattern of the way station telephone is different for different types of call (Selective, Group or General call) and appropriate RBT is sent back to the controller. All the 4 telephones connected to the MTWE can be dedicated to one control circuit or if necessary, the MTWE can be configured for two control circuits with 2 telephones for each control circuit. Intercom facility is provided between a pair of telephones without any disturbance to the controller. BENTRON POWER SYSTEMS 2 It is also possible to make intercom calls between telephones located at different way stations. Only a pair of wire is required for each telephone and that way cost of cabling is substantially low. Separate power supply arrangement is not necessary at the location where telephone is installed. TEST ROOM EQUIPMENT (TRE) : The Test Room Equipment is to be installed at Test room for monitoring control circuit performance. It is possible to call any Way station telephone both as per new CCEO specification ( TC-66) or as per old DTMF specification (TC-60). Any of the 20 Local Telephones can also be called from TRE by using the numeric push button. Patching and unpatching of Remote Patching Equipment located at remote locations is also possible from Test Room Equipment. Monitoring of controller’s voice is possible from this equipment. In-built voice recorder can be provided in TRE to record the control circuit voice on a SD card/ Pen drive for at least last 100 hours which can be transferred to or replayed by a PC . (optional facility) LOCAL TELEPHONE EQUIPMENT (LTE) : With the help of LTE it is able to call to 20 Local Telephones from CRE of TRE. THREE WAY AMPLIFIER (TWA) : Three Way Amplifier is required when more than one MTWE is to be deployed at one location. It has the features like proper Impedance matching, No loss in branching. REMOTE PATCHING EQUIPMENT (RPE) : The RPE is able to interconnect two VF 4 wire channels of 600 ohms impedance to each other by a local command from the RPE panel or from a remote command from TRE. RPE can be installed anywhere on the control section, from test room to the far end station point. It is possible to manage up to 9 RPE on a control circuit. TWO-WIRE DIALING CONTROL TELEPHONE (TDCT) : This is a standard electronic push button telephone (EPBT) with impulse dialing facility as per TEC spec no. TEC/ GR/TEL–02/04 SEP02. This works as a Control Telephone. The telephone will ring whenever it is called by CRE or TRE. Wherever necessary, Two line EPBT may be used so that two controls can be accommodated in one telephone to save ASM table space. Cordless telephones may also be used as Control telephones to facilitate ASM working.
