SCHEDULE OF WORKS - INSTALLATION (Annexure A-II)

Installation of SDH ADMs, racks with power distribution panel and all accessories, DDF,
Aluminum runway ladder, patchcords etc.and their testing and commissioning. This
includes termination of all E1's on DDF,connection of pigtails, optical patch cords and 48 V
bus to the SDH equipment including supply of wires and connectors. It also includes
proper mounting of rack, provision of Aluminum runway ladder, casing and capping and
conduit pipe as per requirement at each station , and also transportation of 42 U racks and
other materials from stores/TPJ to site supplied by Railways for installation. (Conduit pipe/
casing and capping,aluminium runway ladder and all other miscelleneous materials should

be supplied by the contractor).
Installation,wiring, testing and commissioning of PDMUX, surge and lightning protection
arrangement with all accessories in already provided racks. This includes connecting
primary Mux equipment with all interface cards to the 48V bus including supply of wires
and connectors, termination of VF interface circuits to the Krone type MDF at both mux
and cable ends including taking cable over runway or a wall and installation and wiring of
U link panel in the rack, More than one primary mutiplexers etc, may have to be installed
at some stations. (Surge and lightning protection supplied vide itemNo 10, U link panel
vide item 7, switchboard cables vide item nos 11 &12 of Annexure A-I of the schedule will
be used for this work. This work also includes transportation of materials from stores/TPJ
to site supplied by Railways for installation. All other miscellaneous materials including

PVC conduits/Casing and capping, etc, should be supplied by the contractor.
Installation,wiring and testing of 48V battery sets and battery chargers for optic fibre
circuits. This includes installation of AC and DC power supply distribution board with
MCB's of suitable rating, supply of suitable iron stand for battery, wiring of external alarm
contacts, fixing arrangements for battery charger as described in the technical
specification. ( 35 sq.mm PVC insulated copper cable (Red & Black colour) from battery
charger to Battery, 16 sq.mm PVC copper cable (Red & Black colour) from battery charger
to Equipment rack, 3 Core 2.5 sq.mm power cable for AC distribution power panel in
equipment rackto AC power input. Wiring, MCB's distribution board, ,conduits and other
miscellaneous materials required for the work should be supplied by the contractor. This
work also includes transportation of materials from stores/TPJ to site supplied by Railways

for installation.)
Supply and Installation of Earth electrodes as per RDSO specification No.
RDSO/SPN/TC/75/2008 with copper base of size 1000 mm X 1000 mm X 3 mm for
sophocicated signelling / Telecommunication equipments. The work involves digging of pit
to a depth of 2.5 m and placing of the copper plate and connecting it to the signelling/

Telecommuniucation equipments through copper strips 25 mm X 3 mm (2 Nos) by welding
and taking it through to the wall of theequipment room where it shall be connected to a
copper bus bar fixed on the wall. The work also involves providing a perforated up to 2 m
HDPE pipe 75 mm OD - 4 mm thick, 2600 mm long vertically at the centre of the copper
plate which shall be used for watering. The work also involves backfilling the pit by a
mixture of app 200 kg of charcoal / graphite and soil free from sand, gravel and stone ain
the ratio 6:1. The pit shall be covered using an RCC slab 100 mm thick supported by an MS
angle 50 mm X 50 mm X 3 mm and MS rods 6 mm dia. The HDPE pipe shall be covered
using concrete enclosure with G I cover and handle. (copper earth plate, copper strips,
HDPE pipe, charcoal, RCC slabs, MS angles and rods and all other miscellaneous materials

required for the work shall be supplied by the contractor).
Installation 6 U Rack Similar to HCL/Vero President/Rittal make for accomadating Way
Station equipments. (All the materials required for fixing the 4W waystation equipments

and power supply equipments in the 6 U racks to be supplied by the contractor)
Installation of 4 Wire DTMF based Way station equipment complete as per RDSO spec. IRSTC 60-93 or latest and 4 wire control Telephone with audio visual indication and reset
button fitted on telephone copnfirming to specification IRS-TC 38/97 or latest. This work
also includes supply and wiring of power supply arrangements for way station equipment
confirming to specification IRS TC 72/97 or latest. (All the materials required for the work
shall be supplied by the contractor. This work also includes all the required wiring for the
installation of the way station equipment.)

NOTE :
1. Quoted rates should be inclusive of transportation of equipments to be installed from Railway stores to respective sites.
2. All the required installation materials/cables/any misc. items etc. as mentioned in railway schedule is in the scope of
work of contractor.
3. Materials to be used during installation should be as per railway specifications.
