Cornwall Sports Partnership and National Trust have been working tirelessly over the past few months to get parkrun launched in Cornwall. parkrun is a free, weekly, 5km, timed runs that are open to all ages and abilities. Currently there are approximately 200 events that take place every week in the UK and more recently in other countries. They are free, for participants, to take part in and require runners to register on-line for a unique athlete number and to print their own identification barcode before taking part. It will be taking place at Lanhydrock House near Bodmin and takes place at 9 am every week from Saturday 18th January 2014. The route is fantastic and takes in the picturesque view of the Victorian House as well as part of the 1,000 acres, with parkland, woods and riverside paths.
