Chemistry and Physics – Assistant Professor of Computer/Electrical Engineering The Lincoln University is seeking qualified applicants for an Assistant Professor of Computer/Electrical Engineering. The successful candidate must possess a PhD in Computer/Electrical Engineering or closely related field. Candidates should have teaching and research backgrounds closely related to the following areas: computer architecture, embedded systems, robotics, photonics, nanotechnology, electronic materials, power electronics, instrument design, VLSI design, mobile computing, high performance computing, computer and network security, or related areas. Preference will be given to candidates who have experience developing and applying innovative teaching techniques for teaching undergraduate students. The successful candidate will work closely with the Chair of the Department of Chemistry and Physics and Dean of the College of Science and Technology in enhancing the Engineering Science Program. Required Qualifications and Experience: An earned B.S. and Ph.D. in Computer/Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited program. Demonstrated ability to teach undergraduate/graduate level courses in Computer/Electrical Engineering. Demonstrated excellence in research and publication. Demonstrated experience in interacting effectively with a culturally diverse group of students and colleagues. Demonstrated ability to develop and sustain an externally funded research program. Candidates should have a strong hardware background. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The candidate will be expected to initiate and sustain a scholarly research program. The successful candidate will teach undergraduate level courses in Computer/Electrical Engineering focusing on digital electronics, including digital signal processing, computer architecture and organization, automation of experiments, computer networks and or related courses; advise students; serve on academic committees; be an active and effective team player; and contribute to the success and governance of the department, College of Science and Technology, and university.
