We are offering:
EFL/ESL/EAP LECTURER POSITIONS
(1 year renewable contract)
Responsibilities:
1. Qualified & experienced teachers of EFL/
ESL/EAP to teach in preparatory year English
program, a foundation year preparing students
for entry to undergraduate studies for a BS
degree in science, Engineering, Medicine,
Dentistry, Pharmacy and Applied Medical
Sciences.

5. Instructors are hired for the Academic Year
2010-2011 beginning from Sep. 18th, 2010.
Requirements and Experience:
1. The candidates for the position of lecturer
must be male/female native/near native with an
MA in TEFL, TESL, Applied Linguistics, Foreign
Language Education or a related field from an
internationally recognized university.
2. Extra TEFL qualifications like CELTA, DELTA
or a diploma in TEFL will be an advantage.
3.At least 3 years of experience is required with
an MA in the above mentioned fields.
4. Working hours are from 7:30 a.m. to 2:30
p.m. with at least 16 hours per week for a
lecturer and 18 hours a week for a language
instructor.

Lecturer:
2. The preparatory year English Program
consists of 16 Hours per week, a pre-university
intensive course in academic English.
Salary ranges between $2,732 to
$4,070 based on the number of years of the
teaching experience.
3. The courses focus on development of
functional English in the three areas of
Listening, Reading and Writing.
Assistant Professor:
4. The Academic calendar as set by Ministry of
Higher Education consists of two semesters:
Fall and spring, comprising of 15 weeks of

Salary ranges between $5,664 to
$7,278 based on the number of years of the
teaching experience.

to $10,558 based on the number of years of the
teaching experience.
Salary ranges between $3,585 to
$4,808 based on the number of years of the
teaching experience.
i. An annual housing allowance of $4,787 will be
given to a lecturer along with $2,393 furnishing
allowance at the first joining in KSA.
Associate Professor:
ii. An annual housing allowance of $6,648 SR
will be given to an Assistant Professor,
Associate Professor and Full Professor along
with $3,333 furnishing allowance at the first
joining in KSA.
Salary ranges between $4,563 to
$5,940 based on the number of years of the
teaching experience.
Professor:
Salary ranges between $5,726
to $8,478 based on the number of years of the
teaching experience.
iii. 60 Days of paid vacations and 2 Islamic
holidays of two weeks in each term.

iv. Annual Round Trip air tickets to the point of
origin for the employee (wife and 2 children of
age up to 18 years)

family at the University Clinic, at Buraidah
Central Hospital or King Fahd Specialist
Hospital, (if referred).
vi- The university pays a total sum of up to
$6,648 per year for children’s education. There
is one Pakistan International, an Indian
International school and a Philippines
International school in Buraidah. There is also
one Indian International school in Onaizah,
using both American and British curricula.
