celebrated set of 100 etchings known as the
Vollard Suite – the only complete set held by a
public museum in the UK. The etchings will
be displayed alongside classical sculpture,
Rembrandt etchings and Goya prints – all
influences on Picasso.
Discover the epic story of the horse in this free
special exhibition – a journey of 5,000 years
that has revolutionised human history. The
story focuses on two breeds – Arabians and
the Thoroughbred which was selectively
bred from Arabians.

This major exhibition on the world
of William Shakespeare will provide
a unique insight into London and
the world as it was 400 years ago
through the innovative perspective
of Shakespeare’s plays.
The Museum’s collection of Spanish
prints and drawings from the 16th
to the 18th centuries is one of the
finest outside Spain. The exhibition
will present over 130 works, spanning
over 250 years, and will include
works by Goya, Velázquez, Pellegrino
Tibaldi and Federico Zuccaro.
This major and groundbreaking
exhibition will feature some of
the earliest known works of art
found across Europe, created
between 40,000 and 10,000 years
ago, including highlights from the
Museum’s collection and many
other museums.
