The RUSIC® 24 safety lighting supply system
for emergency luminaires 24 V is usable for
single fire areas. RUSIC® 24 therefore enables
easy implementation of the existing building
regulations for electrical installations with
respect to functional integrity of the wiring
system and specifications for the location
of emergency power supply systems – especially when the utilisation and therefore the
escape routes are not yet defined at the time
of planning or when the utilisation of a building changes and the safety lighting has to be
adapted quickly.
While the standard only prescribes ­batteries
with a service life of 5 years as minimum
­requirement, Ruhstrat uses OGIV batteries
with expected life of more than 10 years
therefore considerably reducing maintenance and operating costs and increasing
operational reliability.
RUSIC® 24 stands for cost-reducing implementation of emergency lighting systems
due to fast setup of the required wiring network without abandonment of monitoring
the connected emergency luminaires.

When R-LED system luminaires are used,
reliable function monitoring of the connected LED luminaires is possible by
measuring the LED nominal current and
LED flux voltage.

Inadvertent and / or unauthorised changes to the system configuration are protected by password at the control level.

Customer-specific preconfiguration of
the unit at the factory is possible on
­request. You also receive a backup of
the configuration in order to be able to
­restore it if necessary.

Central Monitoring Software RCMS 24
(Optional)
The RCMS 24 monitoring software is a Java
program for monitoring up to
50 RUSIC® 24 systems in a network. All systems are displayed
clearly in a table with their status and
designation.
The following 4 statuses can be detected:
No connection
System is OK
System has a fault
Status currently unknown
(only after restart of the
program)
In the event of system errors, the program
outputs both an optical as well as an acoustic1 signal. Alternatively, the program can
send email if errors occur. The email contains
a link to the web interface in the message
body.
The software is also available in various languages​​.
Advantages of the software:
 The Java software is platform-indepen­
dent. This means it runs on any computer
architecture and most current operating
systems2. The only requirement is a current Java runtime environment.

The program is very small and needs
minimal system resources.

The operating statuses of the central battery system are displayed on the ­external
signalling device where switching on and off is also possible. The ­signalling ­device
is connected to RUSIC® 24 using a cable of the type JY(ST)Y 6 × 2 × 0.8 mm2.
