Automatic Fail-Over Switch User’s Guide Product Features Standard Package Contents Congratulations on selecting the DLI Automatic Transfer Switch, a smart dual-input AC failover switch. Features include: Easy toUse Simply connect inputs and outputs. No settings are required. Full Microprocessor Control The internal microprocessor automatically handles brown-out, blackout, wiring fault detection, and loss of power detection. Fast Switching Switching is fast and fully automatic. Switching typically occurs in less than 10ms (.01s) 4 Switched, L-15 outlets Four switched outlets are provided, fed by two 7’ length 14Ga L-15 power cords. LCD and RS-232 Serial Status Display Status of the switch may be monitored on the LCD display or remotely via the RS-232 output port. 1500ms+ Holdover Time The switch will typically operate for up to 2 seconds after complete loss of power on both input 2 1SMART FAILOVER SWITCH 1. Inductive and powerfactor-corrected loads will not adversely affect operation of the switch. Total rated load current is 12A. Installation Connect the input cords to any two AC power supplies. For example, you may connect a UPS and a Grid power source to ensure that attached equipment will continue to run in the event of a UPS failure. Operation Operation is fully automatic. When the primary (preferred) input power supply fails, loads will quickly be switched to the backup power source. After primary power is restored and stable for a minimum of 5 seconds, loads will be switched back to the primary power source.
