Poly direct entry students can also apply for SEP via OPAS. have a minimum CAP of 3.0 ensure that you do not apply for SEP to your home country have sufficient financial means to cover the necessary expenses for the duration of SEP (ranging from S$5,000 to S$15,000 per semester, subject to the country and local conditions at the overseas Partner University during the period of exchange). When applying for your student visa, a number of countries may demand documentary proof of your financial status. Some Issues You can only apply for places allocated to Faculty of Engineering (FoE) in the list sent by Dean’s office from 25 Sept – 13 Oct 2014 (Round 1). In Round 1, we have around 135 universities, 480 places) from more than 25 countries to be selected. Carefully complete “Motivation” section of your application in OPAS. It is recommended that you go for SEP in Semester 6 since modules mapping is easier. You may refer to the hardcopies of previous study plans at ME Dept office and also previous mapped modules in ME SEP website: http://serve.me.nus.edu.sg/sep Before accepting offer in OPAS, check whether the partner university will have suitable courses for you; whether the partner university's academic calendar is suitable for you; whether you will face any problems with the language of instruction; whether you will be able to finance your SEP. Some Issues (continued) NUS Awards for Study Abroad (NASA): Students who qualify to go on SEP can apply for NASA Exchange Scholarship up to $2500 (Singaporean), $2000 (PR), $1250 (Int. Students) and NASA Exchange Bursary up to $5000 (Singaporean). Upon accepting the SEP offer, if you withdraw, $300 penalty will be imposed. The penalty will be deducted from your school fees. For those students who are not sure on your SEP, please do not waste your $300 for your withdrawal and give the chance to those who are keen on SEP. Application Procedures Complete online application form (each student has 5 choices), OPAS Round 1 opens from 25 Sept – 13 Oct 2014. https://myaces.nus.edu.sg/VOPSEP/Login Submit online application (Round 1) by 13 Oct 2014. At least 3 choices from 3 different continents. Allocation of places is based on Application form (CCA), Interview and CAP Logon OPAS to accept/reject the offer. Results will be released in Dec 2014. Students who reject an offer may be barred for applying again for another SEP partner university in the subsequent round of application. I will meet students who have accepted the offer to discuss modules mapping, study plan, MC conversion in Jan 2015. Submit the study plan to ME Dept office for endorsement. Miss Davina will inform you to submit the approved study plan and relevant documents to Dean’s office.
