About the Conference
What previous
attendees have said:
Great seminar.
Very Good!
Great topics and timely program.
Very helpful to understand
reality of oil and gas revenue
and state budget.
Transition was helpful!
Another top-notch program.
Energy plays a critical role in determining Alaska’s well-being. Energy production, particularly oil, but hopefully also gas, as Alaska moves forward on an LNG export project, is a vital contributor to both the state’s
economy and state revenues. The production, cost and availability of energy in all forms are important to making Alaska livable, affordable and a good economic environment for business. The conference will also explore
how energy can be more effectively delivered to consumers as well as new developments in environmental regulation. This annual conference is in its eleventh year. It is your opportunity for a one-stop update on the current
legal and economic issues affecting energy in Alaska.
As the past year’s drop in oil prices has made clear, the market for Alaska’s energy resources is affected by a
variety of economic and government policy factors at not only the state, but also the national and international
levels. In many ways, Alaska is ground zero for how these factors intersect. We’ll have a diversified group of
experts address those topics from a variety of perspectives. The focus of the conference is to identify and discuss
those issues which will drive Alaska’s future.
You will have an opportunity to discuss practical solutions for meeting the challenges facing Alaska and hear
directly from key Alaska policymakers on their plans for the coming year. This will be a highly informative and
educational conference that you will not want to miss. We hope to see you there.
