Position: Electrical Designer
OVERVIEW:
Support project electrical engineers and designers by providing basic electrical systems design,
documentation and construction administration for projects.
Utilize the following software to complete tasks accurately and on-time: Outlook, Word, Excel,
BlueBeam, AutoCad MEP, Revit, AGI 32, COMcheck, SKM Power Tools, and LiquidPlanner.
KEY RESULTS AREA #1: DOCUMENTATION PRODUCTION AND COORDINATION
POSITION DESCRIPTION
• Learn and follow EP drafting standards
manual.
• Provide effective communication with office
staff and with other design professionals.
• Provide consistent sheet and background
set-up.
• Meet project deadlines.
• Maintain consistent and reliable office hours.
• Learn and maintain high level of efficiency for
all drafting tasks.
• Contribute to construction document
production, under the direction of an engineer
or designer, with high level of accuracy and
completeness.
KEY RESULTS AREA #2: ELECTRICAL DESIGN
• Learn and perform sizing and lay out all
aspects of:
o Power design and documentation on
projects including communications,
fire alarm and security systems.
o Lighting design and documentation
on projects including use of light
modeling software and energy
calculations.
• Construction administration tasks such as
shop drawing review and RFI’s.
