Securitron has been making electromagnetic locks since 1971,
and remains the industry leader through innovation and superior
engineering. Security industry trade journals, installing dealers
and end users consistently choose Magnalock as their most
highly preferred product. Great features and proven performance
in demanding applications are the reasons why.
MAGNALOCK TECHNOLOGY
Magnalocks are designed to secure any kind of door or gate
that closes against a fixed stop. The product consists of an electromagnet which mounts on the fixed frame, and a strike plate
which mounts on the moving door or gate. The strike plate is
delivered with fasteners that let it flex, so when a door closes, it
automatically self-aligns with the magnet. Powerful magnetic
force then secures the door, and release is achieved by switching
off current.

Magnalocks are remarkably efficient. Model 32 draws only
3-1/2 watts. Model 62 draws only 3 watts. Models 34 and 82SC
draw only 4 watts. Low power consumption is especially important when large numbers of Magnalocks are operated from a
central power supply. Efficiency saves in wire gauge, power
supply and battery backup costs.
Advanced internal electronics eliminate problems found in other
designs. Magnalocks reverse out residual magnetism and accelerate field collapse, so that inductive kickback and EMI are
suppressed. There is no arcing over control switches, or
interference with nearby electronics. Ferrous metal aging—
which can lead to stickiness—is blocked. A U.S. patent has been
granted on the Magnalock’s internal electronics.

MODEL 32 APPLICATIONS
Model 32 provides 600 pounds “traffic control” security—similar to electric
strikes—and is recommended for applications where physical assault on the
door is not expected, like access controlled interior rooms and secure areas
within buildings. Primary benefits of this model are its lower cost and more
compact size. Please specify voltage in 12 or 24 VDC when ordering

Model 62 increases holding power to 1,200 pounds, appropriate for exterior and
perimeter doors through which criminals could gain entrance to cause substantial economic loss. Entry cannot be forced without special tools, or before the
door and frame actually give way. Model 62 is also available with the “G” option,
which adds a universal conduit fitting for outdoor installations or surface-wired
installations on concrete filled door frames.

Senstat option provides a lock status sensing
signal which positively indicates that the door is
secure. This interfaces with access control or
alarm systems and is superior to the commonly
used door position switch which indicates that the

THE “F” OPTION—
FACE MOUNTED MAGNALOCKS

Standard Magnalocks are suspended from the
door frame, so the door swings away from the
magnet body—the preferred mounting method.
But if the door swings into the protected area security considerations may dictate the lock mounts
on the in-swinging side of the door. The “F” option provides for face mounting on the header
above the door. Mounting holes are drilled
through the magnet face, and wire exits the rear.

THE “G” OPTION—UNIVERSAL
CONDUIT FITTED MAGNALOCKS
APPLICATION USE
The “G” option (available on the 62 and 82 Models
only) adds a 3/4" female—1" male universal conduit
fitting to allow conduit wiring for outdoor
installations. The “G” version is also useful for
surface wired installations on concrete filled door
frames. This avoids the cost of drilling a wire way in
the concrete. (See image below.)

DOUBLE MODEL 62 CONFIGURATION
For double doors without a center mullion, the DM-62
supplies two 1,200 lb. holding force Model 62
Magnalocks in a single, brushed stainless steel
housing. The 22” [572mm] wide housing provides
adequate lock separation for internal obstructions
often found in double doors. Electrically, the dual locks
are controlled as one.
OFFSET STRIKES and SPLIT STRIKES
Offset strikes are available for the 62 and 82 models
only. The offset strike alters by 1/4” [6mm] the position
of the mounting hole which is occasionally necessary
for certain narrow aluminum glass doors to avoid the
sex bolt hitting the glass.
Split strikes allow a single 62 or 82 model Magnalock
to secure a double door at traffic control holding force
level.

Magnalocks can be installed in full-length
housings for the ultimate in security and
finished appearance. Select housings in
vertical or horizontal configurations, to fit one
or two locks. The addition of a second lock is
for extra security, or a double door. Finished

ENERGY ABSORBING SEX BOLT
The EASB is specifically designed for high
security applications on inflexible doors, like
those found in prisons where a door opens
outward into a protected area. During an impact
attack—unlike pulling the door—the impact
force transmits well to the lock. The EASB replaces the standard sex bolt, and contains a
powerful internal spring that absorbs and
dissipates the force of a blow, maintaining
optimum security.

STOP FILLER PLATE
The Stop Filler Plate is used in installations
where only part of the magnet body is on the
stop. The plate extends the stop to provide a
flat mounting surface for the magnet. Stop
Filler Plates are 8” [203mm] (Models 32 and 62)
or 12” [305mm] (Model 82) with a varying
thickness to match the stop thickness.

The Concrete/Wood Frame Bracket is used on
concrete filled or wood door frames. On
concrete filled frames the bracket anchors to
the frame using sheet metal screws; the magnet
mounts to the bracket with machine screws.
The bracket includes a central splice area,
avoiding the need to drill a wireway through the
concrete. On wood frames, 4” [104mm] wood
screws penetrate into the header. Separate
part numbers are used for the Model 32, 62, and
82 Magnalocks.

HOW MAGNETIC SHEAR LOCKS WORK
Securitron’s Shear Aligning Magnalock (SAM) provides 1,200
pounds holding force and fully concealed mounting in aluminum,
wood and steel doors. Concealed lock mounting is an important
feature, enhancing aesthetic appearance. The lock is mortised
into the frame, and the floating adjustable strike is mortised into
the door.
A traditional magnetic lock secures a door by preventing the
strike from being pulled away from the magnet body. A shear
lock prevents the strike from being pulled across the magnet
body. To accomplish this a shear lock must add mechanical interference. The design of the mechanical interference is critical to the function of the shear lock.
Additionally, the SAM can be installed in any position on the
door—top, side, or bottom. Templates are available to door
manufacturers for door and frame preparation prior to installation.
THE SECURITRON SOLUTION
The SAM is ideal for swing-through doors and sliding doors as
well. A unique benefit of the SAM’s physical design is that it
functions equally well on doors that swing to close or doors that
slide to close.

The SAM locks by seating two conical buttons located on opposite corners of the strike plate into matching holes on each end
of the magnet body. The SAM never binds under pressure, is not
sensitive to door alignment, and does not require door position
sensing or auxiliary timing circuitry.

simple to use, with programming possible from the keypad itself,

MODELS FOR OUTDOOR & INDOOR USE
All Securitron digital keypads are intended for the demanding
use of electric lock control both indoors and outdoors. They

The DK-26 Series Keypad is a digital keypad system designed for medium/high
security control of electric locks. It consists of two components: the keypad and
the CPU board. This allows the CPU board to be mounted within the protected
area for higher security. Tampering with—or even destroying the keypad—will
not release the door. The rugged stainless steel keypad may be mounted outdoors
in any environment as it is fully weatherproof.

DK-11
The DK-11 is a one piece unit intended for lower security requirements. It is
furnished on a single gang brushed stainless steel plate with retrofit backbox.
The keypad provides true 10 digit operation and includes red and green signaling
LEDs. The unit runs on 12 or 24 VDC power and control output is via an integral 5
Amp SPDT relay for operating fail safe and fail secure locks. All wiring is to a
terminal strip found on the CPU board directly behind the plate. While primarily
intended for indoor operation, an optional rain cover (part # WCC) allows reliable
use for exterior areas not exposed to direct rain. The pad itself is a U.S. made,
high-volume unit with engraved, paint-filled keys.

may be the ideal upgrade to your system. The
optional expansion board provides another 60
user codes (for a total of 119 user codes plus

WIEGAND
The rugged and reliable keypads that are the
heart of the DK-26, DK-16 and DK-11 series are
also available in versions which output Wiegand
2601 data and therefore interface directly with
any access control system that accepts this
industry standard data protocol. With
Securitron’s Wiegand units, you can easily add
keypad controlled entries to an existing or newly
installed access control system or in many
cases you can combine a keypad with a card
reader to enhance security by requiring
authorized individuals to possess both a card
and a PIN code. The Wiegand version of the DK11 (DK-11W) is a one-piece, fully integrated unit.
With the DK-26/16 keypad, an external board is
used to generate the Wiegand data stream and
it may be purchased individually or together with
the associated pad.

Securitron manufactures a wide variety of exit pushbuttons for
security applications. The series features mounting on brushed
stainless steel plates and includes an exit prompt instruction
for each model. Hookup is from colored flying leads or labeled
screw terminals. These exit buttons are attractive, rugged,

application is momentary or timed release of an electric lock.
This may be accomplished by direct hookup or by signaling the

Emergency Exit Buttons offer additional safety,
as required by code, for possible malfunction of
motion exit sensor. They are mounted next to a
door and momentarily pressing the button
releases door from a different circuit for 30

TOUCH SENSE PLATE
The SP-1 uses touch sensing technology to
create a push panel with no moving parts. For SP-1
indoor use only, the unit is oversized so that it
can be mounted over a single gang cut-out. A
three part vinyl decal is included to provide the
appropriate prompt to the user and a red LED is
incorporated in the backbox. For ADA compliant
systems, an optional decal with handicap symbol

Securitron manufactures a variety of outstanding products
designed to supply and monitor 12 or 24 Volts for the operation
of security and safety equipment. The BPS Series DC Power
Supplies include battery charging capability with capacities
from one to 15 Amps. The BACS Series provides high capacity
12 and 24 volts AC power. The model PSM Power Supply Monitor
functions as an alarm system for your BPS series supply. Our
plug-in DC supplies and potted bridge rectifier fit into simpler
applications.
Securitron’s PM-12 and PM-24 power supplies are similar to
the BPS-12-1 and BPS-24-1 units except they employ separate
plug-in transformers which interconnect with a circuit board
housed in a steel enclosure. Since the transformer plugs into a
wall socket, installation does not require the services of an
electrician. The PM units also feature regulated, adjustable
power with integral sealed lead acid/gel cell battery charging
capability while meeting Class 2 electrical requirements.

For applications where there is interface with a fire alarm, or battery backup is
needed, Securitron offers a full line of BPS power supplies. The BPS delivers
significantly more current than our PSPs or PMs, and all BPS models are UL
Class 2 listed, allowing for wire runs without the use of conduit from power supply to door. The BPSH series operates with 220 VAC. Metric cabinet dimensions

PSM APPLICATIONS
The PSM Series Power Supply Monitor is for use with larger DC power supplies.
Available in 12 or 24 VDC versions, the PSM can operate with all BPS Series
supplies, having capacities of 2 Amp or more. The power supply monitor functions
as a power supply alarm system, as it monitors all key functions and reports any
trouble. The output voltage is continuously read to insure it remains within tight
limits for proper float charging of the battery pack.
The PSM also checks the battery pack by taking it off charge three times a day
and subjecting it to an extended load test. Failure is reported so that the pack
may be replaced. The PSM also reports whenever batteries have switched in to
the load. This provides vital warning that the load will continue to operate for
only the standby duration of the pack.

CONTROL BOARDS
While BPS series supplies are delivered with
four or eight outputs—depending on the
model—the CCB-8 “slave” board may be optionally ordered to add eight additional Class 2 outputs. The more boards you add, the more outputs become available. Also, for added safety,
the CCB-8 module has emergency release terminals. These can be broken by an external
switch, opening such as a relay controlled by
the fire alarm system. This will automatically release all the devices being driven by the supply.

Exit delay systems secure exterior doors electronically while
permitting routine, delayed egress from within. They fully
comply with NFPA Life Safety Code 101 and all US/Canada model
codes. A standard 15 or 30 second delay is offered, providing
sufficient time for alerting personnel to a breach of safety or

COMMON APPLICATIONS
Exit delay systems are used to fight risk of loss by theft. Typical
installation sites include retail stores, museums, libraries,
computer and business technology centers. Without exit delay
protection, a thief can move stolen goods through a nearby exit
door, escaping undetected before countermeasures are taken.
But exit delay forces a thief to wait by the door, enduring a 15 or
30 second alarm blast, sufficient time for apprehension.
Hospitals and nursing homes responsible for patient safety
employ exit delay in denying egress to individuals under their
supervision. Attempts at unauthorized exit by those suffering

the energy efficient M62SC Magnalock. The patented design of the iMXD module

25mm]) before going into alarm. The lock, initiate device, logic timer and key

The Prime Time 7-day digital timer is used to turn
electric locks or other security systems on and
off at programmed times. A 10 Amp DPDT relay
can be operated in toggle or pulse mode at
selectable times during the week, with 12
programmed on/off times set daily, on selected
days, or on blocks of days (Mon - Fri, Mon - Sat
or Sat - Sun). The exclusive “First Man In”
feature delays operation until an external switch
changes state which automates holiday
programming in many applications. The Prime
Time operates on 12/24 volts AC or DC. An AA
battery provides five year backup to the display
module program memory.

TIME MATE
The TimeMate timer is an ultra-miniature timer
that functions to extend momentary switch
closures (Normally Open) up to 36 seconds.
Commonly used in outlet boxes with
keyswitches or push button controls solving the
problem of “where to put the timer”. The
TimeMate either fits in the box or can be
mounted on the exterior with supplied double
stick tape. When the switch is operated, the
TimeMate’s 3 Amp SPDT relay energizes for 2
to 36 seconds after which it resets. The time
setting is precisely selected by a bank of
dipswitches rather than by a pot. Common
applications include releasing electric locks
and shunting alarm contacts.

The TimeMaster is an industrial quality multifunction timer with a unique array of features.
It operates on 12 or 24 volts AC or DC and has a
5 Amp DPDT relay output. Dip switches select
exact delay times of 1 to 255 seconds or 1 to 255
minutes.Seven operating modes can be chosen:
On delay (timer is powered; relay energizes after
delay and resets when the timer is un-powered);
Triggered on delay (same operation started from
external switch); Off delay (timer is triggered;
relay energizes immediately and resets after
delay); One shot (non-retriggerable off delay);
Toggle (trigger closure energizes relay; next
closure reset etc.); Cyclic (relay cycles on and
off at time interval set); and Pulse output (relay
pulses for 1/4 second as external switch
changes state). Triggering can be from an
Normally Open or Normally Closed switch, and
finally the TimeMaster includes a unique
flashing LED drive output which steadily
increases in frequency as the unit times out,
providing visual indication of the time remaining.

outputs (such as from Securitron’s Senstat
version Magnalock) with access control systems
that require Normally Open or Normally Closed
dry status signals coupled with a delay before
lock status changes state. Without the delay the
access control system would alarm every time
the door is used because of the immediate
change in lock status. The addition of the RLP
solves these problems. It can also be used to
create a relay interlock circuit, an interlocked
trap entry (when coupled with 2 electric locks),
and can function as a DPDT relay, with 2 Amp
contacts.

SOLENOID CABINET LOCK
The SCL-24 is a fail secure solenoid lock which
fits into the most size limited applications (the
lock body measures 1 1/16” x 1 1/8” x 2 5/8” or
27mm x 28mm x 66 mm). The lock body mounts
on the fixed frame and the keeper mounts on the
moving door or drawer. Despite its high degree
of miniaturization, the SCL-24 holds an amazing
600 lbs [275 Kg.] which provides a strong level of
security for cabinet locking applications. In most
installations, fastener strength is breached
before the lock is defeated. The SCL-24 is
preferred for applications in the most limited
space as well as those which demand the

Exit Motion Sensor
The XMS Passive Infrared Request-to-Exit Device is a motion detector specifically designed
to reliably release manetic locks. A person approaching the door is “seen” by the motion detector just before reaching the door. The XMS
automatically cuts power to the lock, allowing
the individual to exit without even realizing that
the door is secured. For additional safety, an
integrated push botton timer (such as the EEB2
or EEB3N) should be mounted next to the door.
Momentarily pressing the button will release the
door from a different circuit for 30 seconds. The
EEB2 or EEB3N units are retriggerable. UL Listed
Input voltage: 12 or 24 VDC.
Power draw: 20-50 mA, depending on switching status.

DESK MOUNT
The LCP Series panel is designed to operate
any DC electric lock or strike that operates on
12 or 24 volts (fail safe or fail secure.) Other
electric locks can be accommodated by adding
relays. The panel is constructed of control
zones supplied in multiples of four.
A single multi-color monitoring LED per zone
displays four possible conditions of the lock:
Green shows that the zone is secure and this
condition may be driven from a door switch,
lock status switch or the power status of the
lock. “Off” shows that the lock has been
“legally” released from either the panel control
switch or from a remote switch at the door. In
this condition, the toggle switch itself
illuminates yellow. Red is the alarm condition
showing that a lock which should be secure is
not reporting secure. This condition is latching
and is reset from a momentary switch once the
zone has been resecured.
A Sonalert accompanies the red “violation”
condition. Orange shows that the zone has
been resecured and is ready for alarm reset.
After reset, the indicator turns green again.
Power: Panel available for 12 or 24 VDC
operation. Unregulated voltage acceptable.

has been silenced the button illuminates and a
built-in reminder tone is emitted. Once the alarm
condition is cleared, the silence function
automatically resets so that Sonalert will sound
again for the next alarm event.

start of exit delay for a fail safe lock in the NFPA
101 delayed exit installation. Other conditions,
depending on the specific job, can also use this
capability.

The bypass keyswitch, when turned off,
secures all zones and shunts out the control
switches and emergency release button (if one

mortise cylinder type keyswitch with cylinder
supplied. The suffix “1” is wired for fail safe
locks. The suffix “2” is wired for fail secure
locks.

SECURITRON TERMS and CONDITIONS
PRICES: Prices are subject to change without notice. All shipments will
be made at prices in effect at the time of shipment. The customer shall
also be responsible for payment of all applicable sales and/or use taxes.
MINIMUM ORDER: Minimum product charge per invoice is $35.00.
TERMS: 2% ten (10) days; Net thirty (30) days from date of invoice. Interest
at the rate of 1-1/2% per month may be charged on all past due accounts.
Custom orders may require a deposit.
FREIGHT: All goods are shipped “F.O.B. Factory.” Title passes to the
customer upon delivery of the merchandise to the transportation company.
Customer assumes the risk of loss or damage in transit, and is responsible
for filing any clams with the delivery carrier. All foreign shipments will be
sent air freight using the carrier selected by the customer, unless other
instructions are received.
SHORTAGES: Any claim for shortages must be made to SECURITRON,
in writing, within one week of receipt of the merchandise.
RETURNS: A Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) must be
obtained from SECURITRON before any merchandise can be returned.
Transportation and insurance charges on all returned goods must be
prepaid by the customer. Returned goods are subject to a minimum 15%
restocking charge plus an additional charge for any damages. Goods
are returned under the terms of SECURITRON’s MAGNACARE Limited
Lifetime Warranty and must be accompanied by a copy of the original
invoice.
CANCELLATIONS: Any order and/or item(s) may be subject to a 5%
cancellation charge for catalog items. Cancellation for non-catalog or
custom items will be subject to a 20% cancellation charge plus all costs
(both direct and indirect) incurred by manufacturing at the point of
cancellation that are properly allocated to the cancellation order and/
or item(s).
