When the timeswtich is turned off, the LCD will display OFF only. Configuration Menu This timeswitch is full of useful features which can be set quite easily through the feature configuration menu shown below. To access the feature configuration menu, simply turn off your timeswitch and hold button M for 5 seconds. Now you can see Menu 1, which can be adjusted as required. To proceed to the other menus, press button M again. To exit the feature configuration menu, press button Menu # Factory Default Feature Value Feature Description 1 Set backlight turning-on time. Selecting on will turn the light on continuously. Selecting off will turn the light off. Selecting 20 seconds will turn the light on for 20 seconds. 2 Select 12 / 24 hour clock 3 Program type selection. This gives user 3 options of program type. 5_2 will give you 5 days(Monday to Fiday) with the same six events(Wakeup, out, home, out, home,sleep) and 2 days(Saturday and Sunday) with the same six events. 20 seconds Press or to select 20 seconds / ON /OFF 24 12 / 24 7_0 5_2 / 6_1 / 7_0 6_1 will give you 6 days(Monday to Saturday) with the same six events(Wakeup, out, home, out,home,sleep) and 1 day(Sunday) with the same six events. 7_0 will give you individual settings for each day from Monday to Sunday. Use up or down button adjust the day (hold up or down button for 5 seconds to set all days the same). Press button M to bring up the program 1. Use up or down button to set the start time (default 06:30).(Hold up or down button to change by 15 minutes each time.) Press button M again and use up or down button to choose on or off for program 1.(default ON ) 4Repeat 2 3 and unitl you finish the settings for 6 programmes. Press button M to accept and exit. Below are the default factory settings for the 6 programmes. Programme Start time Setpoint 1 06:30 ON 2 08:30 OFF 3 11:30 OFF 4 13:00 OFF 5 16:30 ON 6 22:30 OFF To temporarily override the current programme times, select one of the following two options: Option 1: An ‘override’ (‘advance’) function which changes an OFF period to ON until the next OFF time and changes an ON period to OFF until the next ON time. Option 2 : A +1 hr. override. This allows the user to set the timeswitch to ON when it is in a programmed OFF period for one hour only. It also allows the user to add 1 hour to the existing ON period when it is in a programmed ON period. To select option 1: 1. Press the up or down button once, the “ON/OFF” display will start flashing 2. Press the up button to select Option 1 3. Press to confirm the setting. ‘Temporary’ and ‘1’ will be shown on the LCD To cancel option 1 press and hold for 5 seconds until ‘Temporary’ disappears. To select option 2: 1. Press the up or down button once, the “ON/OFF” display will start flashing 2. Press the down button to select Option 2 3. Press to confirm the setting. ‘Temporary’ and ‘2’ will be shown on the LCD To cancel option 2 press and hold for 5 seconds until ‘Temporary’ disappears. Please note that options 1 and 2 cannot be used together. Holiday function Note: It is faster to program the same schedule for the entire week and then to adjust the exceptional days. Set the Time and Day The holiday function allows the user to turn the timeswitch off from 1 to 99 days and then return automatically to the users time programme afterwards. To enter holiday mode press and hold the up button until appears in the display.Use the same procedure to exit the holiday mode.Then press the up button to set the required number of days for the holiday :the display shows the number of days being set and is adjustable from 1 to 99 days. The down button can be used to reduce the number of days if required. Resetting factory defaults Your timeswitch has the ability to reset all settings to the factory defaults. If you are certain you want to do this: In standby mode(when timeswtich is turned off), press and hold button M and for 5 seconds until “RES” is shown for 5 seconds on LCD. This timeswitch is fitted with a real time clock. It is essential that the clock time and day are set accurately if you require your programmed events to start on time. Follow the easy steps below, once and the time will flash Step 1. Press the button Step 2. Use up or down button to change the time (Hold up or down button to change by 15 minutes each time.) Lock the buttons again, the day of the week will flash Step 3. Press button To lock the buttons, press and hold the up and down buttons for 5 seconds until you Step 4. Please ensure that the electrical wiring of the installation and connections to and from the timeswitch and any remote sensor connected to it are in accordance with BS 7671, the latest edition of the IET Wiring Regulations. 2. The timeswitch must be wired to the electric mains through a switch capable of disconnecting all poles compliant with the current safety standards and with a contact separation of at least 3 mm in all poles. 3. Before commencing work on the installation, the electricity supply must be disconnected. 4. The depth of the back box should be 35mm minimum. 3 2 1 Carefully unplug the ribbon connector which is plugged in to the front half of the thermostat Place the thermostat front half somewhere safe.
