CEMENTING Halad®-568LM Fluid Loss Additive Offshore cementing operations where logistics favor the use of a minimal suite of additives is the primary application of Halad®-568LM fluid-loss additive. It helps improve slurry stability and, at the higher concentrations, provides some element of gas control. Halad-568LM fluid-loss additive can be used alone to design low viscosity slurries with good fluid loss control for slurries used during primary cementing operations and is compatible with dispersants and retarders. It can also be used with other fluid-loss additives to enhance overall slurry performance. When used in standard density slurries (~15.8 ppg), Halad-568LM additive still provides easily mixable slurries with good fluid loss control across a wide temperature range. Benefits and Advantages • Provides excellent fluid-loss control up to 300°F (148°C) bottomhole static temperatures (BHCTs) and is compatible with lower-temperature fluid-loss additives. • A liquid additive that is easily used through a liquid additive system. • Can be used across a wide range of density and temperature conditions by modifying the concentration and/or the concentrations of other additives (dispersants and retarders). • Suitable for use in both fresh and seawater making it particularly attractive for offshore applications.
