WHTE/HOT 101.9 HI-LO GAME CONTEST RULES

Must be 18 years old or older to win and a Virginia resident who resides within
WHTE/Hot 101.9’s broadcast signal footprint.

Employees of WHTE/Hot 101.9 or its parent company Monticello Media or respective
affiliates, client sponsors and their respective families are ineligible to win.
All prizes must be picked up from Monticello Media during business hours, MondayFriday, 8:30 am -4:30 pm.
Winner must provide photo identification to claim their prize.
Contest runs each weekday (excluding holidays and unforeseen circumstances) from
9/8/2016-11/30/2016. Date and time of promotion can change at anytime due to the
discretion of the general manager, operations manager, program director and/or
promotions department.
Hot 101.9 will air a “cue to call” every hour between 10am and 6pm at approximately 40
minutes after the hour. The 10 th caller at 434-975-1019 will guess how much money is in
the current “jackpot.” If that guess is correct, the caller will win that dollar amount. If the
caller is wrong, he/she does not win & the station personality will indicate whether the
guess was too high or too low. The “jackpot” amount remains the same until a correct
guess is made. Once the correct “jackpot” amount has been gues sed, a new “jackpot”
amount is created by Hot 101.9, and the game continues.
“Jackpot” amounts can range anywhere between $1 and $5000.
All decisions by WHTE Management are final.
All State, Local, Federal and or other taxes, duties, tariffs, title fees, licensing fees, or
other fees for prizes awarded become the sole responsibility of the winner. All those who
win a prize or prizes valued at over $600 will be issued an IRS form 1099 to report their
winnings.
If winner request for prize to be mailed, station does not maintain liability for damaged or
lost prizes.
Prizes will be forfeited or reassigned if not claimed within 30 days from date of winning.
In consideration of our station allowing individuals to participate in contests, contestants
release station and associated employees, clients and agencies of any liability for
damages or injuries incurred while participation in any station radio contest or promotion.
All contestants give station radio exclusive right to use their name and /or any other
likeness for promotional purposes.
Violations of any of these rules or attempts to win any contest by fraud, deception, or
cheating shall be grounds for (station) to disqualify that individual from participating in all
current and future contests as well as forfeiture of any prizes won by fraudulent means.
WHTE/Hot 101.9 is not responsible for any technical issues with signal or phone lines.
People listening to the radio station via internet stream are listening on a delay from the
real-time on-air broadcast and should be aware that by default the “cue to call” heard
online is also on a delay which may put them at a competitive disadvantage.
