Apple iPads that are no longer under warranty can be sent to MTS for repairs on a “one-time” basis. MTS will
repair damaged displays, and damaged cases under this arrangement. Motherboards are not included in this
repair service due to their replacement cost. iPads will be sent back to your site unrepaired if it is determined that
the unit is beyond economical repair, for any reason.
Call in to COMPASS for a work order, to have an iPad repaired.
Apple Care Plus provides two low-cost repairs (including physical damage) under warranty. Contact Apple for
details.

BRETFORD CARTS/APPLE

Have your cart’s date of manufacture, Serial Number and Model Number handy when calling.
Bretford warrants their carts for 12 years mechanically and 1 year for electrical/electronic parts. Call
Bretford first, for warranty details.
If your cart is out-of-warranty and you need service for electrical/electronic components, call
COMPASS at 321-1480 for a work order. MTS will repair these issues as long as parts are available.
BLACKBOX CARTS/LENOVO
During the warranty period, MTS will repair/replace faulty power strips, locks, mechanical items and
switches. Call the Service Desk at 321-0411 and create a REMEDY ticket for a warranty repair.
EARTHWALK CARTS /LENOVO
During the warranty period, MTS will repair/replace locks, faulty electrical components and wheels.
Call the Service Desk at 321-0411 and create a REMEDY ticket for a warranty repair.
KRONOS CLOCKS
For troubleshooting, repair and/or replacement of a broken KRONOS clock, call COMPASS at 321-1480
for a work order.

NOTES:
1. Up to 50% of replacement cost pertains to repair parts, only. Labor is free. Once a machine exceeds the cumulative cost-of-repair-parts cap, it will be
declared Beyond Economical Repair (BER) and returned to you.
2. Items currently in the MTS backlog that are deemed as having no support after October 15, 2015 and are not already in progress will be returned.
3. Printers: MTS will look at your Out-of-Warranty printer non-Lexmark or LEXMARK MFP as a courtesy. If we can repair it at no or low cost, we will.
Otherwise you will need to call the warranty repair vendor service.
4. Some of the inventory that MTS supports is obsolete, in the view of the manufacturers. As a result, some items on this list may drop off over the
course of FY 16. MTS will publish an updated list whenever necessary.

8. Refer to Standard Items List for replacement costs on products. MTS will repair items until cumulative repair parts cost exceeds 50% of the
replacement purchase price of the device.
9. Apple Servers are no longer supported. MTS will pull your HDDs and deliver them to I&T for virtualization. After virtualization and upon receipt
of a COMPASS work order, MTS will assist in removing your hardware so you can send it to Surplus.
10. MTS does all non-warranty repairs and all out-of-warranty repairs on desktops, laptops, printers, tablets and servers on this list.
11. Battery replacements: Laptop batteries are consumable items. MTS does not supply replacement batteries. Contact the manufacturer or their local
representative for replacements. For APPLE embedded battery replacements contact BELL TECH.LOGIX at 954 735-1755 for service. For Lenovo
battery replacements, refer to the Lenovo Accessories page at the Service Desk website. If you need assistance installing internal batteries, MTS will
install internal batteries for you. Buy the battery and when you receive it, then call COMPASS for a work order. MTS will respond and do the
replacement, if you need assistance.
