Tullio's Preferred Part List
Lists of commercial electronics parts somehow tested under radiation
List of parts somehow tested under radiation. It is meant to gather radiation test data that have not been
published on scientific journals (NSREC/IEEE, JINST, etc). Use it only as a starting point, no guarantee is
given on any data.
If you have relevant information (rad-tests not published on scientific journals, etc.) please email your
contribution to : tullio.grassi@cernSPAMNOT.ch Obviously we are interested in both parts that passed and
failed the tests.
Warning
In general, a part manufacturer can modify its parts without notice, this will modify also their properties under
radiation . There are a few exceptions, for instance "Maxim has a general policy that they never change the
actual DICE without changing the part number. That provides a better assurance that the actual purchased
commercial parts will perform as well in radiation as long as the part number is the same as the ones tested in
radiation" (2013).
Actel/Microsemi lot codes are related to the silicon chips, while other chip vendors (like TI) may put a lot
code related to the packaging operation.
