Operators are guided through the menus via selection windows and button levels, thus preventing erroneous entries. The selection windows can be configured as desired and tailored to meet required operating procedures. Function keys can be allocated icons or product logos instead of text. PLU keys can even be allocated product photos, which makes order inputting even easier. Individual operator authorization rights Vectron POS systems work with general operator classes but also with individual authorizations. You can store the respective operator rights directly in the POS system or in an electronic operator key, which allows fast login and secure allocation of bookings to an operator. It is thus possible to remove the need for the creation of operator accounts in all branch POS systems, which is often advantageous in the event of a high staff turnover between the various branches. You can determine for each employee who shall be entitled to cancel bookings or who is to get superior rights. Furthermore, the individual operator rights enable a differentiated commission system to be established. Robust design Vectron POS systems combine successful design with extreme robustness. They are thus resistant to dirt, flour dust or spilt liquids. All POS systems are made out of lowmaintenance materials and are thus easy to clean. Fast backup You can store all the POS data in short intervals on a storage medium (e.g. USB-flash drive or SD-card). In an emergency you insert the storage medium to a replacement POS system, turning it into a precise copy of the failed device with just one command. It is thus possible to carry on working with minimum effort. Perfect connection options Vectron POS systems offer numerous interfaces for the connection of peripherals including printers, scanners, dispensing systems, coffee machines, and scales, up to four cash drawers or terminals for credit- and EC-card payment. The common access of several POS systems to peripheral devices is especially suitable. All the systems in a network can address one printer for example. Effective shift registration The higher the number of employees and branches, the more complex shift administration can become. Vectron POS systems offer exemplary support in this area, too. Staff members can log themselves on and off directly at the POS. It is also possible to log on in one branch and log off in another. It is even possible to record shift times in the case of employees who are not using the POS systems, and thus have no access rights to POS functions, this via the touch key. The POS systems are capable of administering an unlimited number of employees, and enable the smooth registration of all log-on and log-off information, such as breaks, a doctor’s visit or errands. Vectron Commander transfers the data to a time registration system at headquarters before passing it on to the payroll accounting department. Practical data transfer The optionally available Commander software automatically transfers at defined times – even several times per day – the data from the POS systems to the central PC where it makes them available for back office programs like e.g. special bakery or hospitality software. The operator, PLU and price data only has to be entered into the system once, either via a POS system or a PC. It can subsequently be transferred to an unlimited number of POS systems via the Vectron Commander software or individually configured for different branches. Alternatively, the entire maintenance of the master data can be carried out using subordinate back office software. Instead of calling all branches individually, messages like “Don’t forget: team meeting today at 2 pm” can be entered once in the main computer and sent with a click of the mouse. Thus, all the sales staff gets the information within 2-3 minutes. This is much faster than calling the branch shops one after the other. And if a message is not to be sent immediately to the selected addressees but at a defined time, this can be set via a timer function. Network camera function It’s essential to have everything in view at all times in order to guarantee a perfect hospitality service. However, that isn’t always easy, particularly when your establishment has several rooms or an additional outdoor area. This is where Vectron POS system’s network camera function comes to the rescue. Image data updating and the choice of camera can be performed either automatically or via manual request. Vectron POS systems collaborate with a selection of reputable manufacturers of bar dispensing systems and coffee machines in order to ensure that the desired product cannot be dispensed until it has been registered in the system. Allergen labelling/Selecting PLUs by means of filters As of 13 December 2014 information on allergens is also mandatory for non-prepacked products. In order to guarantee the protection of health, consumers have to be informed in a suitable way about allergens contained in any product offered for immediate consumption (e.g. in a restaurant, hotel, snack bar, bakery, butcher’s) according to law.
