In pairs/groups students discuss what they find confusing/strange about today’s world/living in Britain/the last time they felt ‘in a muddle’ or ‘shook up’. Open the discussion to the class. Exercise 4: Students do exercise 4 in pairs. Give feedback. Exercise 5: Play the song ‘Lola’ by The Kinks for the first time. Exercise 6: Play for a second time. Exercise 7: Give out copies of the lyrics. Play a third time. Students discuss the questions at the end of the worksheet.
