The citations of media sources made in materials that had as main subjects: internal policy, mass media, economy, worldly events, sport, transport, etc. Methodology The study “The media products most extensively cited in Romania” provides information on how often certain products were quoted in the media (print) and does not include press agencies. The research was conducted during the interval August 01 – November 30, 2015. The analysis includes all the materials from the printed press to have quoted various media (print, online, radio, TV). The report includes publications which refer to articles, comments and statements to have appeared in various media, provided they were not part of media reviews or reprints from other media. The publications included in the report can be recognized by the following methods: A statement is written between inverted commas and its source is mentioned, such phrases occur as: “On Thursday Libertatea wrote that …”/ “journalists from Adevarul noticed that …”/ “Radio Romania Actualitati informed about …”/ “in the interview Antena 3 X said that …”/ “according to a survey conducted by the weekly Capital …” The main criterion which indicates whether a particular material can be accepted is still a direct reference to a particular article, statement, comment published in another newspaper (print or on-line) or broadcast by a TV/radio station. The sum of references to certain newspapers or radio/TB stations does not include mutual quotations (of publications part of the same corporation): Adevarul Holding, Biz Age, Cancan Media, Evenimentul Zilei and Capital Publishing House, Media Sud Management, Intact Publishing House, Ringier Romania, M&C Strategy Development, Media Gamma Publishers, Mediafax Group, Intact Interactive, Intact Media Group, Antena TV Group, Antena 3, Ad Evolution, Hotnews.ro, Q2M, Internet Corp, Europe Development International, Grupul Media Camina, Radio XXI, Societatea Romana de Radiodifuziune, PRO TV, Lagardere, Realitatea Media, SBS Broadcasting Media, RCS&RDS, B1 TV Channel, Dogan Media International, Clas Media, Societatea Română de Televiziune.
