Working Principle This valve comprises body, disc, shaft, cushion pressure gauge, etc. Under the mediums pressure, the disc opens to make mediums flow through. By which, the piston stem is pulled to the "ON" point. The disc closes automatically with the mediums flowing back and the weight of the disc itself as the mediums stop flowing. (EX: the pump stops abruptly) With the effect of cushion pressure gauge, the closing of the disc shifts from Fast-closing state (from full open point which is 85°to the point 70°) to slow-closing state, in which the damp is larger than that in the former state. So the destructive water-hammer effect can be eliminated. Caution: This valve works well to eliminate destructive waterhammer under the condition that tire purlieus are in normal case when there is a power-cut accident. So, under normal case, this valve is open. Recommendation: To get the best efficiency, this valve should be installed with the same size electric butterfly valve simultaneously.
