Benefits of Installing a Rotalube System
At present common systems used to lubricate chains are:•
•
•
•
Drip feed systems
Manual application
Brush application
Spit/spray systems
All present systems are better than no lubrication but the
Rotalube system significantly extends the chain life and
reduces maintenance costs which is paramount for Industrial
applications in this competitive global market place. Rotalube
lubricates more accurately, efficiently, reliably and reduces
lubricant consumption.

Standard System Operation
Standard System Operation
The Rotalube pump is based on the current AC3 pump with
the timer set to continuous running and it uses an additional
controller to control the pump . The new Rotalube controller
controls both the ‘RUN’ and ‘DELAY’ periods of the pump and
solenoid, with both the periods being defined either in terms of
time or pulses.
The ‘RUN’ period in time mode is capable of being set between
1 minute and 99 minutes in 1 minute steps or in pulse mode
the run period can be set between 10 and 9990 pulses in steps
of 10 pulses.
The controller will energize the solenoid output 5 seconds
before starting the pump and this output will remain energized
for 5 seconds after the pump has finished running.
The pump has 2 alarm modes, the 1st being triggered if the
controller senses that the motor has failed (as per the current
AC3 controller) and the 2nd being triggered when the run time
is set to pulse mode and the controller does not see the full
number of pulses specified within 110 minutes. This alarm can
be reset by pressing the manual override button.
The ‘DELAY’ period in time mode is capable of being set
between 1 minute and 100 hours in 1 minute steps or in pulse
mode the delay period can be set between 10 and 9990 pulses
in steps of 10 pulses.

Bespoke Rotalube Applications
Extending Chain Life
Oven Chains
A High Temperature Rotalube, installed to clean a 4" pitch chain on an oven prior to a lubrication cycle taking place. The system
would blow air into the linkages removing most of the product before the oil is applied onto the pin.
This will ensure that the oil penetrates the pin as it is required thus ensuring correct lubrication and minimising oil consumption.
Large Chains
A Heavy Duty 6" Pitch Rotalube designed to lubricate both the pins and slats of the Industrial Chain. The Rotalubes operated in very
wet conditions and the system was deigned to apply 4 litres of lubricant onto each chain over a 24 hour period.
Specialist Chains
A small specialist applicator to apply lubricant onto a standard chain on a chocolate manufacturing line. The applicator is designed to
apply lubricant to the pin and the roller to help prevent the chocolate adhering to the roller part of the chain.

Bespoke Rotalube Systems
Smooth Running
Develops the future technology in lubrication
Automatic Lubrication Systems are designed to apply regular
and accurate amounts of oil to Single or multiple Rotalubes
on diverse Industrial applications such as:
The systems can be designed to monitor the correct operation
at all times and for critical installations will alarm when oil level
is low or if oil flow to the Rotalubes is not detected.
