Exponent’s Mechanical Engineering & Materials Science Practice has provided over thirty years of services
related to the investigation and analysis of mechanical systems behavior for products ranging from aircraft and
marine transportation to all types of industrial equipment and consumer products. Our engineers and scientists have
an understanding of all areas of mechanical engineering, including reliability and hazard evaluation, design
assessment, fluid and thermal analysis, and materials life prediction. Exponent's metallurgists, polymer and corrosion
scientists, electrochemists, and ceramists have many years of experience in the prevention and analysis of material
failures.
Exponent is currently hiring for an Engineer in our Miami, FL office. The individual in this position will be responsible
for accident reconstruction, consumer, commercial and industrial accident investigation, power plant equipment
analysis, and vibrations and dynamics analysis in the Mechanics and Materials Practice. This position will involve
experimental testing, field inspections, engineering analysis, and finite element modeling. The successful candidate
will have substantial client contact and must quickly demonstrate the ability to handle complete assignments with only
advice and quality assurance from senior staff. Duties also include field inspections as well as mathematical analysis
and testing of mechanical designs to determine the cause of accidents and failures. A long-term goal for a successful
candidate will be to develop business and bring new clients to the firm.

Qualifications for this position include:




Ph.D. in Mechanical or Aeronautical Engineering
0-3 years of experience
Relevant non-conflicted experience in legal consulting is beneficial
Excellent verbal and written communications skills
