SAWDUST COLLECTOR:
Furnish and install complete the high efficiency, cartridge filter type sawdust collector shown and
specified on the drawings. Unit will have self-cleaning backward incline fan. Filter media shall
deliver a minimum of 99.9% separation efficiency down to 0.5 microns by weight.
Unit module shall be constructed of 7-gauge steel with door, hopper, inlet, and panels of 10-gauge
steel. Entire housing shall have baked on powder coated paint finish for weather/corrosion
resistance. Support legs for unit shall be designed for seismic zone 3.
Filter cartridges shall have open pleat design for high dust capture efficiency and better cleaning
ability. Media shall be flame retardant. Overbags shall be provided to act as a pre-filter for the filter
cartridge to protect the pleats from clogging.
Unit shall be furnished with pulse type compressed air automatic filter cleaning system complete
with solenoid valve in NEMA 4 enclosure.
Factory-mounted sawdust level indicators in each hopper shall be provided to detect sawdust
accumulation.
Unit shall be equipped with a dust collector controller. The controller shall control the automatic
pulsing of the filters based on differential pressure of the filters, so the cleaning cycle only pulses
when the filters are dirty. The mechanical contractor shall provide field wiring between the
controller, differential pressure sensors, sawdust level indicator, and the solenoid valve.
