The Latest Advance In Laser Tag
CyberBlast Arena is LaserBlast’s latest system loaded with the cutting edge features you need to run a high-end laser tag attraction.
CyberBlast provides the best operator experience in the industry, with an emphasis on five important areas:
Durability
Accuracy
Ease of Use
Style
Game Flexibility
Durability
If your equipment doesn’t consistently function, it is directly cutting your profits. But how much does losing three vests for a weekend
really cost you? With five hours of running at maximum capacity, three games per hour, and $7 per game it will cost you $315 in pure
profit. These are very conservative figures for an average weekend. Now imagine that happens every weekend. The costs add up
to over $15,000 a year. We run our own laser tag center and we understand how important the system’s durability is.
In designing the CyberBlast system we kept the most durable design elements from our 17 years of experience, like shock-mounted
phaser circuitry, thick injection-molded dye-free cases, a 20-million-cycle tested trigger, and wireless charging.
Building on our field-proven fundamentals, we made numerous improvements to help you run at full capacity while you are at your
busiest, including: high-flexibility vest cabling, capacitive touch sensors, protective rubber casing, and longer lasting LiFeP batteries.

Designed for Durability
Cables
The Rubber Data Hose allows the exterior of the cable to bend without stressing the crimp pins on the connectors.
A strain relief on each end provides additional protection against wire faults.
Capacitive Touch Safety Sensor & Option Button
Capacitive touch technology replaces buttons that wear out and optical sensors that can be blocked with tape or gum.
Rubber Overmold
The phaser features a rubber overmold to provide extra protection from inevitable impacts in the
arena. The rubber is applied during the molding process, and cannot be peeled off or removed.
LiFeP Battery
Lithium Iron Phosphate is the latest advance in battery technology. It is safer than Li-Ion and has
three times the average Li-Ion battery’s cycle life.
Display Protection
The LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) is mounted in its own injection-molded polycarbonate case before being inserted into the
phaser to reduce the force that reaches the most sensitive part in the phaser. Thick raised rubber bumpers surround the rear
of the phaser for extra protection.
Metal-Backed Sensors
Each IR sensor is backed by a metal plate. This allowed us to place each sensor in its ideal location and angle, without any
material to impede the beam. The result is improved range and tag reception from every side, even at steep angles.
Maintenance
CyberBlast equipment is easy to maintain, with sturdy hex fasteners and JST locking connectors. If a component needs to be
replaced, its plug and play; no soldering, glue, or complicated procedures are required.

Optically Superior
Quality optics are a critical component of the laser tag experience
Nearly all laser tag suppliers have settled on infrared (IR) tagging due to the flexibility it
offers for sensor placement and beam size. CyberBlast uses the same excellent optics
that have been field-proven over the past 17 years.
Infrared Beam

IR Emitter
Laser
What is IR tagging? In this configuration,
an invisible beam actually tags the opponents’ vest while a visible laser helps players to aim their shot and adds an impressive visual effect to the game.
Visible Beam
The LaserBlast Alignment Method
LaserBlast uses a proprietary computer-aided alignment process before being mounted
inside the phaser, to ensure that the visible beam stays with the invisible beam even
across very large arenas. The diameter, intensity, and angle are verified to an uncompromising specification every time. This is crucial to ensure that players are credited
with a hit whenever they tag an opponent in their lighted hit zones, but not when they
miss. Other methods involving lenses, or no pre-alignment at all deliver inconsistent
accuracy from one laser to the next and wide beams that expand to several feet at long
distances.
Nothing turns customers away faster than frustrating, inaccurate lasers.

Easy to Play
Immediate Hit Recognition
When a hit is recorded, its important that both the tagging player and the tagged player intuitively and immediately understand the
game action. If you don’t know when you’ve been hit, you won’t know when to hide and the player who hit you won’t know when to
stop blasting and move on. CyberBlast notifies you immediately in three ways:
Physical A hit sensor vibrates in the area of the vest that was hit. Five sensors throughout the vest intuitively tell you which direction the hit came from without reading a display.
Visual The vest flashes brightly and then shuts down until reactivation. A countdown timer is displayed on the back of the phaser
if you want to see how long you have to wait to get back in the action.
Audio You will instantly hear a deactivation sound. The tagging player hears a ‘nice shot’ sound effect from their own speakers.
Fast & Easy Vesting
The CyberBlast Vest can be equipped side-to-side, like a jacket. This style of
vest is less prone to disturbing long hair, glasses, or collared shirts.
The CyberBlast Vest features a magnetic buckle to naturally snap into place
after the vest is equipped. Shaving even thirty seconds from the briefing and
vesting process means you can run an extra game every Saturday.
Side straps are provided so that players can equip the vest over-the-head if they
prefer and adjust the vest to fit.
Hassle-Free Hand Sensor
The capacitive touch two-hand sensor is highly sensitive and can detect as little as
a pinky finger anywhere on the front handle of the phaser. To prevent confusion,
Red Lights glow on the LCD and on the front handle when two hands are not being
used. Although this sensor can be disabled in the CyberBlast software, it is highly
recommended that you leave it on to reduce the chance of injury in the arena.

Easy to Operate
Easy Touch Screen Operation
The intuitive touchscreen interface makes it easy to train your
new hires to run your laser tag attraction. You create a
‘favorites’ list of games that your referee can choose from on
the fly. Basic settings like the number of teams and length of
game can be changed for just the next game.
Advanced Options in the Backend
Of course more flexible game editing and scripting is also included in the CyberBlast software, but restricted so that your
average employee cannot stray from your tried and true
game formats without permission. The last thing you want is
for your teenage referee to test his latest gaming tweaks
when your center is packed with customers.
The Referee App
The Windows 8 Referee App allows you to control game action on your own terms. Change teams, choose from
the favorite games list, set the game length, start and stop games from anywhere in the building.
6
ARENA
The Vest
Futuristic Style
The vest features 53 RGB LEDs to show a dazzling array of patterns
so each game action is accompanied by its own impressive effect.
Make your own colors for up to eight teams at a time.
Accent Lights & Patterns
Three accent circles clearly show the vest status. For example, in a
capture the flag game, the accent circles rotate and shows the color of
the flag that you are carrying. In Role-based games, the accent color
displays your role, making it easier to identify the VIP, the engineer,
the sniper, etc.
Magnetic Latching
A Magnetic latch in the center snaps into place without old-fashioned
buckles, beginning your out-of-this world experience right in the vesting room.
Rubber Shoulder Pads
Flexible rubber shoulder pads conform to your shoulders and allow the vest to hang naturally on players of all sizes.
Excellent Audio
Twin Shoulder-Mounted 2-watt, 4-channel speakers provide clear audio just inches from your ears so sound effects can easily
cut through the noisy arena environment. Four-channel audio means a game announcement, shot sound, hit sound, and good
shot sound all play at once with no annoying audio lag.
Lightweight
The vest weighs 4.5 pounds with battery included, placing the total vest & phaser weight at 6 pounds.

The Phaser
Futuristic Style
The Phaser design was based on futuristic curves and features a sleek rubber cover to accent its appearance.
15 Intuitive LEDs
The LEDs on the front handle glow red to let you know when you aren’t holding the phaser properly.
Two LEDs on the front of the phaser display a ‘muzzle flash’ in an independent color when the phaser is fired.
The rest of the LEDs flash through various patterns in your team color.
Hit Sensors
Three sensors, including one aiming
directly alongside the laser ensure that
players cannot cover their sensors.
Vibrating Grip
The rear handle vibrates briefly when
you pull the trigger and for a few
seconds when you are tagged in the
phaser.
Angled Color LCD
The 45° angled rear-facing display
shows game information like ranking,
points, shots left, lives left and
codename in a 40 character format at
the perfect angle for easy viewing.

The CyberBlast Base
Whether you build your own arena or hire a theming company, the Base is usually placed inside
a structure matched to your arena’s theme. Our Base looks great on its own and also fits into
most Base structures provided by theming companies.
Pulsing LEDs
The Base features 50 RGB LEDs inside the diffuse hex dome that pulse and fade. 12 feet
of LED strip lighting is included to light the themed structure around the Base.
Excellent Audio
A 25-watt local amplifier plays high quality sound effects with the arena action.
Diffuse Hex Dome
Attack & Defend
The goal of standard team-based games is to destroy the opponents Base by tagging it several
times. The Base can fire back at its attackers for a more interactive experience. It can also be
used as a respawn point to require players to return to their Base after every hit.
DMX Control
The Base includes a DMX port to control lighting effects in the arena. Special game types like
King of The Hill make excellent use of these effects, flashing a lighting effect to indicate which
team controls the hill.
Color Matching
Bases are built into a rugged white metal case so they are not required to stay the
same color permanently. Their color can be changed to match your theme.

The Element
Elements are large targets with several flexible interactive features for both standard
party games and complex games for your dedicated players.
Flexible
You can tag an element or touch an element to trigger a game effect. Elements
can be configured to deactivate a laser gate, zap nearby opponents, or recharge your lives.
Audio
Each element is equipped with a local speaker & amplifier. Depending on its
configuration, the element will play an appropriate sound. A mine element plays
an explosion sound, a recharge element plays a power-up sound, or an element used to deactivate a laser gate plays
a whirring deactivation sound.
Rugged Metal Case
Special Game Formats
Equipping your arena with several elements makes new game formats possible, like Domination and Solo Ball.
DMX
Touching an Element can activate any DMX effect to bring your theme to life. Usually this effect is a fog burst, a flood light,
or a strobe light, but premium arenas can trigger animatronic effects as well.
The Target
Targets are miniature Elements without audio playback or a capacitive touch sensor. These targets are perfect if you only need a
flashing target that scores points and triggers a DMX lighting effect.

Laser Module
The Laser Gate
The laser gate uses a series of mirrors to reflect a laser grid across an archway. It’s a
great way to add an interactive element to your arena without making the game overly
complex.
Simple Use
In its simplest form the laser gate zaps you as you walk through the gate when it is active.
The gate can be deactivated using the nearby CyberBlast Elements.
Scale Up for Advanced Players
For members night and special games, the laser gate requires teamwork to deactivate.
You will have to work with your teammates to activate several Elements in sequence and
bring the gate down.
Wiring
The CyberBlast Arena Devices were carefully designed to minimize the hassle and cost of
wiring and electrical installation.
12” Acrylic Mirrors
Wi-Fi Communication
CyberBlast Element
None of the devices require home run wires back to the server. The Bases communicate with the server using encrypted Wi-Fi.
Bases are ‘hubs’
Power and data to the Elements, Targets, and Laser Gates passes through Cat 5 wire to the Bases. Your arena will only
require power outlets for each Base and DMX effects.

Membership
RFID Member Card
Custom Codename
Members can choose their own codename to feel more connected to the game.
Codename changes must be approved by an employee operating the server so you can
screen profane submissions.
RFID Member Cards
RFID Cards are lightweight, fit easily in a wallet, and can be printed with full color
graphics for less than $2 each. Your customers login to their vest by tapping the card
on the front case to use their code name and track their game statistics.
A Membership card is packaged with access to special members only game formats and
discounted play for an annual fee, usually from $20-$35.
Membership Terminals
Members view their recent game performance and track its impact on their averages over time on touchscreen terminals in your lobby.
The Benefits
Although it can take considerable effort to develop a devoted member base, ultimately the benefits are well worth it. Member nights
are scheduled for slow weeknights, or after normal closing hours on the weekends to minimize their impact on your busy schedule of
parties and open play and provide additional revenue.
In fact a well-run membership program improves the experience for your casual players. Promoting this program encourages highly
skilled players to play on members’ nights when they will face real competition instead of ruining the game for overmatched partygoers
and walk-in players.

ARENA
Flexible Game Types
The Base is a key component of many
special game formats.
CyberBlast Arena is loaded with fun game formats to keep your most dedicated players coming back for
more. The most popular game formats include:
Capture The Flag
Your mission is to capture the opponents flag and return it to your Base. If you are hit while carrying
the flag, it resets and you will have to retrieve it again so work as a team to escort the flag carrier.
Passing the flag is available, but can be disabled.
King of The Hill
One Base at a time is chosen by the server to be the hill. The active hill will pulse white until it has been captured, when it will
change to match the team that captured it. Every minute a new hill is chosen so you’ll have to keep moving.
Domination
Every Element and Base in the arena is capturable. Tag a target to capture it. Earn points for your team for every second you
hold one of these targets.
Solo Ball
The Element in the center of the arena begins as the ball, flashing white. Tag this Element first to start earning points. The
player that tags you will become the next ball carrier. After every two ball carrier changes, a new Element will become the ball,
so listen for the announcements.
Rabbit of the Arena
One player is randomly selected to begin the game as the rabbit, shown by their vest flashing a rainbow of colors. The player
who hits them first becomes the new rabbit. The rabbit earns bonus points rapidly, so find the rabbit early and often to win.
Team Elimination
A team game format with limited lives. Get hit 10 times and you are out. This format is very popular for member tournaments.
Don’t let your team down.
14
ARENA
Flexible Game Types
The Laser Gate is the focus
of the Team Gates format
Elimination
Everyone for themselves. Earn points for zapping other players and a bonus for every player who gets
eliminated before you. You can’t win the game just by hiding in a corner, but you must still play carefully.
Heavy Armor
Play as a heavily armored warrior. It will take several tags to deactivate another player.
Team Gates
Touch the correct sequence of Elements to bring down your opponents’ laser gate and reach their Base.
If you attack their Base without first taking down the gate you will need to return to your Base to respawn.
Zombie Infection
Patient Zero has been located and must be eliminated to stop the zombie outbreak. Two Immunized Survivors stand in the
way. Half of the remaining players begin the game as zombies and half as survivors. The Immunized Survivors can heal infected zombies. If Patient Zero is eliminated or all remaining players are infected, the game ends. Individual scoring is used to
rank players at the end of the game so don’t give up.
Progressive Elimination
Everyone for themselves. The player with the fewest remaining points is eliminated from the game every minute. The player
with the highest score wins the game.
Survivor
A team game with a twist. Every minute, the player with the fewest points on the losing team is eliminated. Don’t be the weakest link at the next poll.
Team Recharge
A classic game format that emulates team-based FPS games. Every time you are hit you must return to your Base to get back
in the action.
15
ARENA
Flexible Game Types
Players respawn at a CyberBlast Element
in the Random Respawn game
Random Respawn
Everyone for themselves. Each time you are hit you will need to pass by an Element to respawn.
Squads
Earn points for your team every time you tag another player, but two items are worth much more.
Focus on the opponents’ Captain and Base to win the game.
Each team consists of players of five different roles: Sniper, Artillery, Infantry, Engineer, Captain.
The Sniper has a slow shot rate but cuts through armor in one hit and is in stealth mode with dim lights so
they are hard to locate.
The Artillery is heavily armored and cuts through armor instantly but fires slowly and has bright lights, making them an easy target.
The Infantry is lightly armored with a fast firing normal shot.
The Engineer is the only player able to arm the Base’s defenses. When an Engineer tags a Base or an Element, its defenses are activated, occasionally tagging nearby enemies.
Tagging the Captain is worth triple the point value of other players. Protect the Captain or lose the game.
Game Parameters
Within each of the game types mentioned above, you can change parameters to your liking:
Weapon Types
Shot Delay, Length of Shot, Burst Rate, Wide or Narrow Beam, Effectiveness (Which shields will stop this weapon), Sound Effect, Slow Opponents Shot Rate
Role Settings
Lives Allowed, Armor (Number of Shots To Deactivate), Shields (User-Activated Temporary Immunity to Tags), Deactivation

Wireless Charging Racks
Wireless Charging Racks are a LaserBlast exclusive innovative solution to simplify the
operation of your laser tag attraction.
No Connectors Required
Employees often miss a few connectors if they have to plug in a large number of
vests, leading to lost revenue the following day while the forgotten vests are
recharging. Additionally, cables can be broken by careless employees,
resulting in even more down time.
Extend Battery Life
Automatically electronically disconnect the battery when full. The vest runs directly
from your building’s power while it is on the rack, reducing the number of charge
and discharge cycles used by your batteries. This will allow you to use your
batteries for a longer period of time.
Top Off Between Games
Automatic trickle charging means that your batteries will have a longer useful service life. Even several years later when their capacity has dropped off, automatic
top-off will allow them to get through the day.
Save Time
Your employees will have to spend around 15 minutes a day plugging and unplugging batteries with other systems. Show them that you value their time.
Aesthetically Awesome
The racks add an awesome glowing effect to your vesting room to impress your
guests before they even enter the arena.

Value
CyberBlast equipment provides the best value available by exceeding the needs of your laser tag center. The system builds on the
legendary durability of the HyperBlast system with improvements like high-flex rubber cables and an extra injection-molded LCD case.
Durable CyberBlast equipment keeps your maintenance costs low and your throughput high.
LaserBlast’s proprietary IR & Laser alignment process ensures that you will have the best optics available. 16 unimpeded sensors are
placed at optimal angles to ensure that your score is counted every time you hit a flashing light. Feel, see, and hear when you have
been tagged and when you tag other players so you know when to hide and when to move on. Intuitive fundamental gameplay ensures that even inexperienced players have a good time and recommend your center to their friends.
CyberBlast makes it easy to turn a full game of players over quickly. Easy-on magnet latches and an easy remote touchscreen controller let you reduce the time it takes to de-vest one group and start the next game. Laser tag plays are heavily skewed towards the
weekends with most of your revenue earned between Friday night and Sunday afternoon. Its critical that you maximize your games
per hour when you have a line of walk-in players & several party groups waiting to play.
Flexible game options give your most frequent players a reason to keep coming back. While advanced game features are too complex for your busy weekend afternoons when you are running four full games per hour, they are a great way to earn extra revenue
from a weekly members night & groups of experienced laser taggers.
The CyberBlast equipment’s style is sci-fi futuristic to appeal to players of all ages.
Players are blown away when they see 68 super bright LEDs and feel the vest
snap into place without the need for old-fashioned buckles. High-end laser tag
equipment needs to have broad appeal beyond the core 6-18 market.
A CyberBlast laser tag attraction typically returns your investment in 6 months to a year. A Revenue calculator, build-out
options, and financing packages are available.
