Thank you for choosing Silicon Energy’s Cascade PV system. We hope that you are satisfied with our system and that it serves you well
for many years to come.
Please take a few moments to familiarize yourself with our Limited Warranties (both the Product Warranty and the Power Warranty) before
purchasing or installing one of our PV systems. Also, please keep in mind that by installing or using this product you are acknowledging
that these Limited Warranties are part of the terms of sale.
Limited Product Warranty – Materials & Workmanship
Materials & Workmanship

Silicon Energy, LLC (“Silicon Energy”) warrants that its PV system (including PV module and mounting system) will be free from defects
in materials and workmanship under normal application, installation, use, and service conditions for 5 years.
Specific Conditions:
1. Limited Product Warranty begins on the date of delivery to the original end-customer or 6 months after the manufacturing date of
the product, whichever comes first.
2. Silicon Energy will, at its option, repair or replace defective product(s) with new or refurbished product(s).
3. The repair or replacement remedy shall be the SOLE AND EXCLUSIVE REMEDY provided under this Limited Product
Warranty
4. The warranty of replacement products (including upgrades) furnished under this warranty will be limited to the remainder of the
warranty period of the original product.

If any Silicon Energy PV module’s PMAX performance, as specified on the product electrical rating label, fails to meet the criteria set forth
in the Power Output Table above, Silicon Energy will, at its option, replace the power loss by either providing the Customer Silicon Energy
PV modules to bring the aggregate power output up to at least the minimum PMAX performance, or by refunding the manufacturer’s
suggested retail price (MSRP) or the actual purchase price, which ever is less, minus a 3.2% yearly depreciation applied to the price from
the date of delivery to the original end-customer or 6 months after the manufacturing date of the product, whichever comes first.
Specific Conditions:
1. Limited Power Warranty begins on the date of delivery to the original end-customer or 6 months after the manufacturing date of
the product, whichever comes first.
2. Power loss must be determined by Silicon Energy (at its sole and absolute discretion) to be due to defects in material or
workmanship.
3. Silicon Energy will, at its option, repair or replace defective product(s) with new or refurbished product(s).
4. The warranty of replacement products furnished under this warranty will be limited to the remainder of the warranty period of the
original product.

General Exclusions and Limitations for All Warranties
Silicon Energy builds its PV systems to be durable and long lasting. There are certain conditions or applications, however, over which
Silicon Energy has no control. Problems as a result of such conditions or applications are not the responsibility of Silicon Energy and are
not covered by these Warranties.
The Limited Warranties do not apply to any of the following:

PV systems, in Silicon Energy's absolute judgment, that have been subjected to: misuse, abuse, neglect or accident; alteration,
improper installation; non-observance of Silicon Energy's installation, user and/or maintenance instructions; repair or
modifications by someone other than a recognized service technician; power failure surges, lightning, flood, fire, accidental
breakage or other events outside Silicon Energy's control.
Backfeeding modules or arrays with electricity from any source for any purpose.
Cosmetic imperfections or changes in appearance stemming from the normal wear and tear of PV systems, including the PV
module and mounting system.
Corrosion of PV module connections and mounting system, which in Silicon Energy’s absolute judgment, was caused by direct
contact with corrosive environments such as salt water or salt mist, or other corrosive substances.
Mechanical failure of mounting system due to corrosion, which in Silicon Energy’s absolute judgment, was caused by direct
contact with corrosive environments such as salt water or salt mist, or other corrosive substances.
Product which has been moved from its original place of installation (including but not limited to any installation, application,
repair, servicing, or temporary removal) by any party not authorized in writing by Silicon Energy.
The type or serial number of the PV system component in question is altered, removed or made illegible.
Damage that occurs during shipment.
Marine, recreational vehicle, or any mobile installations of any kind.

Warranty claims must be filed within the applicable Warranty period.
Warranty claims may only be made by, or on the behalf of, the original end customer, or a person to whom title has been
transferred for the PV system.
The Limited Warranties do not cover any transportation costs for return of the PV systems, or for reshipment of any repaired or
replaced PV systems, or cost associated with installation, removal or reinstallation of the PV systems.
Limitation of Warranty Scope
SUBJECT TO THE LIMITIATIONS UNDER APPLICABLE LAW, THE LIMITED WARRANTIES SET FORTH HEREIN ARE
EXPRESSLY IN LIEU OF AND EXCLUDE ALL OTHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT
LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND OF FITNESS FOR PARTICULAR PURPOSE, USE, OR
APPLICATION, AND ALL OTHER OBLIGATIONS OR LIABILITIES ON THE PART OF SILICON ENERGY, UNLESS SUCH
OTHER WARRANTIES, OBLIGATIONS OR LIABILITIES ARE EXPRESSLY AGREED TO IN WRITING SIGNED AND
APPROVED BY SILICON ENERGY. SILICON ENERGY SHALL HAVE NO RESPONSIBILITY OR LIABILITY WHATSOEVER
FOR DAMAGE OR INJURY TO PERSONS OR PROPERTY OR FOR OTHER LOSS OR INJURY RESULTING FROM ANY CAUSE
WHATSOEVER ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THE PRODUCT, INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, ANY DEFECTS
IN THE MODULE AND MOUNTING SYSTEM, OR FROM USE OR INSTALLATION. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES SHALL
SILICON ENERGY BE LIABLE FOR INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR SPECIAL DAMAGES, HOWSOEVER CAUSED.
LOSS OF USE, LOSS OF PROFITS, LOSS OF PRODUCTION AND LOSS OF REVENUES ARE SPECIFICALLY BUT WITHOUT
LIMITATION EXCLUDED. SILICON ENERGY'S AGGREGATE LIABILITY, IF ANY, IN DAMAGES OR OTHERWISE, SHALL
NOT EXCEED THE PURCHASE PRICE PAID BY THE CUSTOMER, FOR THE UNIT OF PRODUCT OR SERVICE FURNISHED
OR TO BE FURNISHED, AS THE CASE MAY BE, WHICH GAVE RISE TO THE WARRANTY CLAIM. SOME JURISDICTIONS
DO NOT ALLOW LIMITATIONS ON IMPLIED WARRANTIES OR THE EXCLUSION OF DAMAGES SO THE ABOVE
LIMITATIONS OR EXCLUSIONS MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU. SUCH LIMITATIONS SHALL APPLY, HOWEVER, TO THE
EXTENT PERMITTED UNDER APPLICABLE LAW.
Obtaining Warranty Assistance
While the Silicon Energy team works very hard to build PV products that are not only pleasing to look at and durable, we realize that things
can and will happen in the future with some of our products. Your patience is greatly appreciated as we work through your warranty claim.
If you feel you have a claim covered by these Limited Warranties, immediately notify the contractor who installed the PV system. If
applicable, your contractor will give you advice on handling the claim. In the unfortunate event that a claim is necessary, please notify
Silicon Energy, 3506 124th Street NE, Marysville, WA 98271 or by phone (360) 618-6500. In addition, please be prepared to provide
documentation of sale, date of delivery, and photographs of the PV system. If further assistance is required, please write to Silicon Energy
for instructions. The return of any PV system components will not be accepted, unless prior written authorization has been given by Silicon
Energy.
