Spaces versus Circuits
CHOM is a 1” space platform
Maximum circuits
are achieved by using
tandem and quad
breakers
Schneider Electric - Canadian Residential Solutions – 2011
25
Homeline is a 1” Breaker Platform
Contractor tends to choose panel
application first…based on home
size, based on circuits on home
blueprint. Generally they already
have the panel size decided
before they go to purchase at a
distributor branch
When a contractor asks for a
24 circuit panel, recommend
a 24 space panel
Schneider Electric - Canadian Residential Solutions – 2011
26
Homeline Nomenclature
Panel size can be optimized by using space saving
CHOMT tandem and quad circuit breakers. Discuss this
option with Stab-lok users that use NC breakers

Homeline Selection
● A contractor has an application with the following breaker sizes:
10 – 1P 15A, 3 – 2P 15A, 1 – 2P 30A, 1 – 2P 40A, 1 – 2P 40A GFI
and 2 – 1P 15A AFI. They will need an indoor 120/240V 100A main
breaker loadcentre. Select all the breakers and choose a loadcentre.

Why not choose a 24 space
CHOM2448M100GC?
This does satisfy the space
requirements for the
application but it does not
provide any provision for
future circuit expansion.
46
Homeline Selection
● A Stab-lok contractor has heard about the new Homeline panel and
wants to try it. They provide you with their standard order product mix of
1 – BE112241C100, 8 – NC015, 2 – NC020, 1 – NC0215, 1 – NC0230,
1 – NC0240 and 1 – NA15AFI. Select all the Homeline breakers and
choose a loadcentre.
Contractor likes the Homeline

That makes a big difference.
Panel height has changed
from 661mm to 455mm.
And it saves the contractor
41mm from the original
Stab-lok application.
