Advanced Porcelain Workshop, a continuation of
Porcelain Workshop, offers several different
porcelain layering techniques for natural-looking anterior and posterior restorations. The
course also discusses margins and using stains
and modifiers. Participants receive a course
model to fabricate metal copings prior to the
course. Aug. 11-13.
Advanced Precision Removable Appliance
Course covers the form and function of major connector designs. Learn how a detailed
blockout leads to proper external and internal
finishing lines, how to use silicone or hydrocolloid to fabricate refractory models and
how to market your RPD work. Attendees
may bring up to three cases or use the one
provided. Aug. 18-19.
Crown & Bridge Course covers fabricating
crown and bridge metal copings. Learn about
investment materials and spruing and casting, and see a demonstration of traditional
soldering and laser welding. Attendees wax
up single copings and a three-unit bridge.
Oct. 10-11.
Denture and Frame Course teaches proper anatomical tooth setup using landmarks, bite rims
and real models. The course covers how to “twist
and turn” anterior teeth to improve esthetics,
cast the maxillary palatal plate in metal and
reinforce the mandibular denture; participants
also fabricate an upper palatal or lingual bar in
cobalt chrome. Dec. 7-9.
Milling Technique Course combines the ideas
of attachments and milled lingual arms. Participants cast a removable partial denture frame
and housing with a high-expanding investment.
Also covered: milling design theory and the
mechanics of precision milling. Nov. 10-12.
24 CDT credits.
Porcelain Workshop reviews sound waxing
techniques for developing coping designs that
harmonize with porcelain. The course covers
various layering techniques, from opaquing to
glazing. Oct. 12-13.
Precision Removable Partial Course. Attendees
learn a technique for surveying and designing
removable partial denture frames using the
Wironium® system, and fabricate maxillary and
mandibular removable partial denture frames.
This course is a requirement for becoming a
Wironium lab. 21 CDT credits. Sept. 15-17 and
Nov. 3-5.

A Practical Approach to Posterior Tooth Morphology demonstrates how the Occlusal Compass
Concept can be applied to tooth sections with
different occlusal contacts and every possible
articulation of the mandible. Oct. 1-2 in Grand

Anterior Function and Esthetics. Participants use
tooth-colored dentin, enamel and transparent
waxes to complete a six-unit anterior waxup
