w’ha’ahabah hiy’ habonah.
Now concerning things sacrificed to idols, we know that we all have knowledge.
Knowledge puffs up, but love edifies.

4. w’`al-d’bar ‘akiylath zib’chey ha’eeliyliym yada`’nu
kiy-‘eyn ‘eliyl ba`olam w’eyn ‘Elohim bil’tiy ‘echad.
Therefore concerning the eating of things sacrificed to idols,
we know that there is no such thing as an idol in the world, and that there is no Elohim but one.

ka’asher yesh ‘elohim rabbiym wa’adoniym rabbiym .
For even if there are so-called deities whether in heaven or on earth,
as indeed there are many deities and many masters,

6. ‘am’nam lanu raq-‘El ‘echad ha’Ab ‘asher hakol mimenu wa’anach’nu ‘elayu w’Adon ‘echad
Yahushuà haMashiyach ‘asher hakol `al-yado wa’anach’nu `al-yado.
but to us there is but one El, the Father, from whom are all things and we exist for Him;
and one Master, Yahushua the Mashiyach, by whom are all things, and we exist through Him.

‹6› ἀλλ’ ἡµῖν εἷς θεὸς ὁ πατὴρ ἐξ οὗ τὰ πάντα καὶ ἡµεῖς εἰς αὐτόν,

However not in every man have this knowledge;
but some, being accustomed to the idol until now, eat food as if it were sacrificed to an idol;
and their conscience being weak is defiled.

‹7› Ἀλλ’ οὐκ ἐν πᾶσιν ἡ γνῶσις· τινὲς δὲ τῇ συνηθείᾳ ἕως ἄρτι τοῦ εἰδώλου ὡς εἰδωλόθυτον
ἐσθίουσιν, καὶ ἡ συνείδησις αὐτῶν ἀσθενὴς οὖσα µολύνεται.

But food shall not commend us to Elohim;
we are neither the worse if we do not eat, nor the better if we do eat.

οὔτε ἐὰν µὴ φάγωµεν ὑστερούµεθα, οὔτε ἐὰν φάγωµεν περισσεύοµεν.

But take heed lest by any means this liberty of yours become a stumbling block to the weak.

For if any one sees you, who have knowledge, dining in an idol’s temple,
shall not his conscience, if he is weak, be strengthened to eat things sacrificed to idols?
1Cor8:10
‹10› ἐὰν γάρ τις ἴδῃ σὲ τὸν ἔχοντα γνῶσιν ἐν εἰδωλείῳ κατακείµενον,
οὐχὶ ἡ συνείδησις αὐτοῦ ἀσθενοῦς ὄντος οἰκοδοµηθήσεται εἰς τὸ τὰ εἰδωλόθυτα ἐσθίειν;

For through your knowledge shall the weak brother perish, for whom the Mashiyach died.

But when you sin so against the brethren and wounding their conscience when it is weak,
you sin against the Mashiyach.

Therefore, if food causes my brother to stumble, I shall never eat meat again,
lest I shall cause my brother to stumble.
