What time will the migration take place?
The evening of your location’s scheduled migration date. At the designated migration time, you will be able
to access your Outlook email and your GroupWise access will be removed.
Visit www.bjclearn.org/MicrosoftHelp and click Outlook in the upper right corner to see your location’s
scheduled migration date.
Do I need to leave my device on the BJC network the evening of my migration?
For the best experience, we recommend that you leave your device plugged in and on the network over the
migration weekend. If you are not able to leave your device on the BJC network over the weekend, then it
will take up to 30 minutes for GroupWise to be removed and Outlook to be installed once you log-in to the
network, depending on connection speed.
How will I login to Outlook?
Your Outlook Username will be your Network username followed by @bjc.org. (e.g. - abc1234@bjc.org)
Your Outlook Password will the same as your Network Password
Note: This log-in is your primary email address. You will still be able to receive mail that is addressed to
your email aliases, such as first.last@bjc.org. However, you will only be able to send mail from your
primary email address, abc1234@bjc.org.
How will I access my email during the Go-Live process?
1. Outlook Web Access email will be available at Outlook.bjc.org anytime.
2. Outlook Client application users will log-in directly to the Outlook client after it is pushed to your device.
Will I be able to access my GroupWise account after my migration?
No. GroupWise will be removed from your device and your password will be changed.
Will I access to all of my email and calendar appointments in my Outlook
account immediately after the migration?
Not exactly. You will have all of your email and calendar appointments the first time you log-in to Outlook
after the migration, with the exception of the last 7 days of email and appointments. It may take until
Monday morning for the last seven days of mail and appointments to be migrated to Outlook.
How will I receive email on my mobile device?
iPhone users with Mobile Iron will need to re-authenticate their device.
To do this, complete the following steps:
1. Open the Mobile Iron app on your iPhone
2. Press Settings
3. Press Check for Updates
4. Re-enroll your device
5. Press “Install.” Enter your device password. Press “Install,” then “Trust,” then “Done.”
NOTE: iPhone users can also view their BJC mail and calendar from outlook.bjc.org.
How will I view email on my Android?
Android users can view their BJC mail and calendar information from outlook.bjc.org.
Will my archives be available when I log-in to Outlook?
No. Email from the past 180 days is the primary focus. Archived email will be available in Outlook towards
the end of May.

Will my Display Name be the same in Outlook as it is in GroupWise?
No. Outlook displays the legal name, as opposed to the name in GroupWise. If you would like your display
name changed, a service catalog request will need to be placed to modify your Active Directory access.
Will I still be able to use GroupWise Instant Messenger?
Yes. GroupWise Messenger will remain available throughout the migration. A separate communication
will be sent regarding the go-live of the new messenger system.
Will I be able to email and send appointments to GroupWise users?
Yes. Email will still flow between the two systems. Please see separate attachment about how to work
with migrated calendar appointments/meetings.
Will I be able to busy search GroupWise users?
No. Once you are migrated to Outlook, you will not be able to busy search any people or rooms that are
still on GroupWise. GroupWise users will not be able to busy search your Outlook calendar.
How will I access my shared mailboxes?
If you are an owner of a shared team mailboxes, then your access will be migrated to Outlook. If you had
restricted access, then access will need to be given to you post migration.
Does Office 2013 come with this email upgrade?
Yes. If you currently have Office 2010, then you will be upgraded to Office 2013 when you receive
Outlook.
What should I print in order to be prepared for my migration?
It is recommended to print this document. The Outlook Migration Details document provides a summary
of the changes between GroupWise and Outlook. Also, it lists the steps that you must take in advance of
the migration and immediately following the migration. It is recommended to print your appointments for
your Monday morning meetings, so that you are not forced to rely on Outlook for your calendar on
Monday morning.

Please visit http://bjclearn.org/MicrosoftHelp. Click Outlook in the upper right corner for all the training
material, scheduled events, lab schedule, sign up for classes, and watch videos.
Who do I call for help?
Email any questions to emailmigration@bjc.org, or call the CSC at 314-362-4700, press Option 6 for
Outlook help. You will then be connected to 1:1 training assistance for Outlook.
