Official rules for the “Hit the Lake with Jake” Promotion with Vita Ice
NRG Media, LLC, KFGE (“Station”) and Klarbrunn Vita Ice (“Sponsor”) Official Contest Rules for the “Hit
the Lake with Jake” Contest.
Void where prohibited. All decisions of Station are final.
These Contest Rules apply to the Hit the Lake with Jake contest and are supplemental to the Station’s
general contest rules. In case of conflict, these rules will govern this contest.
By participating, Listeners agree to all rules that apply to that contest.
HOW TO ENTER:
No purchase is necessary to enter.
The contest or promotion will take place during the dates and times specified as announced on-air and
which may be changed.
Contest begins on Wednesday, June 22, 2016 and will end on Friday, July 15, 2016. Qualifiers must be
present at the final drawing on July 15 to win the Grand Prize.
HOW TO PLAY AND ENTER
Each Monday through Friday, from June 22 – July 15, 2016, KFGE will be qualifying listeners on-air to win
the trip and contest.
Listen for the cue to call Monday – Friday (6/22-7/15) from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Caller number 7 after each
cue to call will automatically qualify for the grand prize drawing. Telephone qualifiers also win a 12-Pack
of Vita Ice.
Text to Qualify will occur from 7/01-7/04. During that period you will text the key word “Jake” to 68255
for your chance to qualify for the grand prize drawing. One text entry per day. Three entries will be
randomly selected to qualify for the grand prize drawing. Texting fees may apply. Text entries may
receive a bounce-back text acknowledging their entry. Qualifying entries will receive a telephone call to
let them know they have qualified for the grand prize drawing.
Three Remote stops will occur on 7/01, 7/08 and 7/14 from 4-6pm at Super Saver locations. At these
remote stops you may also register to qualify for the grand prize by completing an entry form and
dropping it in the entry box. We will draw three qualifiers at each of the remote stops from the entries
at that remote stop.
At the end of the qualifying there will be 98 qualifiers.
Qualifiers will meet at Holmes Lake on Friday, July 15, 2016. Qualifiers will be notified of the exact
location and directions by email or telephone if no email is available. If you qualified and are unable to
make the final event you may designate a proxy to attend the grand prize drawing in your place. You
must contact the station at 402-475-4567, and give us the name of your proxy by Friday July 15 at 4:30
p.m.
Check-in will occur from 6:00 – 6:45 p.m. Drawing for the Grand Prize will begin at 6:45 p.m. Qualifiers
will receive a number when they check-in and numbers will be drawn randomly in three (3) stages, until
the Grand Prize winner is selected. You must be present to win the grand prize.
Trip is tentatively planned for October 4-6th. Dates are not flexible. The trip is provided by Sponsor and
Pepsi of Lincoln.
“Hit the Lake with Jake” prize package, consisting of transportation and transfers to Nashville,
Tennessee for winner and one other person (each of whom must comply with these Official Rules,
including age requirements, restrictions and limitations), accommodations (three consecutive nights,
winner and companion in one room) in or around Nashville, Tennessee, and a $250.00 visa gift card
(total for winner and companion, to be used solely in conjunction with other aspects of the prize), to
participate in an one (1) hour event with Jake Owen at a location of Sponsor’s choosing, on or about
October 6, 2016. Specific date(s), location(s), method(s) and mode(s) of transportation (including
airline/seating, if applicable) and transfers, nature and location of accommodations, and nature and
location of event shall be determined by Sponsor in Sponsor’s sole and absolute discretion. Event is
anticipated to be attended by approximately 30 persons, such that winners (including person traveling
with winner) will not be the only attendees. No guaranty is made that Jake Owen will be present during
the entire event, or that either of winner or companion will have any direct, person-to-person access to
and/or communication with Jake Owen. No substitutions, rain checks, or partial use of prize allowed
without prior written approval of Sponsor, in Sponsor’s sole and absolute discretion. Winner and the
person accompanying winner shall be solely and exclusively responsible and liable for their conduct
while attending the grand prize drawing and while participating in the prize package.

All other general contest rules apply for eligibility
Station may reject any entry for any reason at its discretion.
Station is not liable for the inability of listeners to complete an entry due to technical issues, including
telephone, cellular or internet malfunctions, outages or disruptions; lost blocked, delayed or misdirected
calls or messages; lost, damaged or misdirected mail or faxes.
All entries become property of Station and will not be acknowledged or returned. Station may store and
use any of the entries for any lawful purpose including publicity, without further compensation to the
entrant.
ELIGIBILITY:
Contests are open to legal residents of Nebraska who are 21 years of age or older (unless otherwise
specified) residing within 50 miles of Station’s studio. Employees of Station, NRG Media, other radio
stations in Station’s market; their affiliates, subsidiaries, successor companies; contest sponsors,
advertising and promotion agencies, contest prize suppliers, participating advertisers and immediate
family members of anyone so situated are not eligible to participate in any contest on Station.
“Immediate family members” shall include spouses, siblings, parents, children, grandparents, and
grandchildren, whether as “in-laws” and any other persons residing at the same household location,
whether or not related.
Contestants and Immediate Family Members of contestants who have won a prize on Station valued at
$250 or more within the last 30 days are not eligible to participate or win. For contests that extend
beyond 30 days, contestants and immediate family members may win only one prize per contest level or
per contest, depending on the specific promotion.
DISQUALIFICATION AND PENALTIES:
Station, in its sole discretion, reserves the right to disqualify any person for (i) violating any of these
rules, (ii) tampering with the entry process or the operation of Station electronic site, (iii) gaining an
unfair advantage in participating in the contest, (iv) obtaining winner status using false or fraudulent
means or information, or (v) engaging in otherwise unsportsmanlike, illegal, disruptive, annoying,
harassing, or threatening behavior.
Prizes are non-transferable and non-exchangeable. No substitution or cash equivalent will be made.
Station reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value.
Prize is deemed forfeited if not claimed by winner in the time allotted, and if not picked up from the
Station within seven (7) days of winning. Station may select another winner at random from the
remaining qualifiers or dispose of forfeited prizes at its discretion. Prizes may only be claimed at
Station’s studio during office hours Monday through Thursday between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm, and
Fridays 8:00am and 4:30pm (holidays excluded). Prizes cannot be claimed by a third-party on behalf of
the winner.
Winners must provide satisfactory proof of age, photo identification, and will be required to complete a
W9 form before any prize will be awarded.
In addition, winner agrees to execute an affidavit of eligibility, indemnification and release of liability
regarding winner’s participation in the contest and receipt and use of the prize before any prize is
awarded.
All federal, state and local laws and regulations apply. Winner is solely responsible for all federal, state
and local taxes including any sales taxes. Any person winning over $600 in prizes during any one year
period will receive an IRS form 1099 at the end of the calendar year, and a copy of such form will be filed
with the IRS. Any additional costs relating to the prizes, and incurred as a result of accepting the prizes,
are the sole responsibility of the winner.
Failure to execute any required documents or comply with any of the terms will result in forfeiture of
the prize.
RELEASE AND LIMITATION OF LIABILITY:
Unless prohibited by law, contestant’s participation in contest constitutes consent and license for
Station, NRG Media and contest sponsors, without any further obligation or compensation to the
contest participant, to use participant’s name, voice, biographical data, likeness and user-generated
content for promotional purposes in any media in any form now known or hereinafter invented.
Station, NRG Media, their subsidiaries and affiliates, their officers, directors, agents, stockholders,
insurers, and employees, and their advertising and promotional agencies and sponsors assume no
responsibility or liability whatsoever for damages, loss or injury resulting from participating in any
contest or acceptance or use of any prize. Station acts as agent only and does not control the various
aspects of the prize including but not limited to transportation, amenities, lodging or meals.
Winner, on his own behalf and on behalf of Winner’s heirs, successors or assigns, in consideration of
participation in a contest, and for other good and valuable consideration, the receipt and sufficiency of
which are hereby acknowledged, does hereby COVENANT TO FULLY RELEASE AND FOREVER DISCHARGE
NRG Media, Station, contest sponsors, and each of their subsidiaries, affiliates, related entities,
directors, officers, employees, agents, and representatives, from and against any and all actions,
charges, claims, losses, costs, damages, expenses (including attorneys’ fees and expenses) and liabilities
of any kind or character, whether known or unknown, in connection with, arising out of or in any way
related to Winner’s participation in or winning of any contest and/or acceptance, award, ownership or
use of prize, including transportation and travel, after it is awarded.
