Natural Gas Pole
1485 SOUTHPORT GASLIGHT POST
SPECIFICATIONS
GENERAL
The 7’ tall decorative Southport post shall be aluminum,
one-piece cast construction. Its design shall repicate the traditional 19th Century gas light post. The 14" wide hexagonal
base transitions to a round tapered and fluted mid section
and is terminated to a classic spiral shaft. The Model shall
be Sternberg Lighting Number #1485 or #1400R for candy
cane pole.
CONSTRUCTION
The square base shall be integrally cast to the entire post. It
shall be made of heavy wall, 356 alloy cast aluminum and be
fully cast in one piece. It shall have a 3/4" thick floor cast as
an integral part of the base.
STREET SIDE
INSTALLATION
Four, hot dipped galvanized “L” type anchor bolts shall be
provided with the post for anchorage. A door shall be provided for wiring and anchor bolt access. It shall be secured
with tamper proof, stainless steel hardware. Post will be
provided with a grounding stud mounted on the base floor
opposite the access door.
